I do not agree with @martyneoliver that ofsted is 'vital' to the process of running schools. It is one way to monitor and influence, but there are other ways and - in memory of Ruth Perry - I believe absolutely that this is the time to disband ofsted and form a new system.

The Ofsted training has, as far as I can tell, had zero impact on how staff feel about inspections & being 'in the window'. The impact of the pause & not waiting for 'the call' has been immeasurable.
