First read of the report and findings: lots of bad stuff found in a LIMITED scope review.
MILLIONS wasted - ? Some under conflict and possibly illegal activity.

Judge says he could NOT do a full review w the limits put on him

Only a Full Public Inquiry will help

Call it!

[The Breakdown @TheBreakdownAB]

Ok.

Once again.

Who ultimately paid for the children’s meds?

According to the ministerial order, it was Alberta Health.

This was an Alberta Government Project.

"Smith says the government is working with Alberta Health Services and Health Canada to bring in the pediatric acetaminophen and ibuprofen."

That was then. Now, she says they had nothing to do with it. #ABPoli

I look forward to the moment this video is used by Athana’s lawyers in her wrongful dismissal case against the government.

[Duane Bratt🇨🇦 @DuaneBratt]

Former AHS CEO Athana Mentzelopoulos wrongful dismissal suit claims that she was fired for investigating conflict of interest in procurement decisions. Judge Wyant's report confirms much of her statement of claim.

NEW research confirms what EVERY teacher in Alberta already knows: Smaller Classes = Better learning

The UCP suddenly STOPPED reporting class size data in 2019.

Why?

Now 40 students is the new 30.

OUR kids are paying the price

Danielle Smith wants to blame everyone but herself.

She’s the Premier, and she must take responsibility for these allegations of corruption.

My hat is once again off to @CarrieTait Smith needs to be called out every time she lies, which is roughly every time she speaks. Thank you, Carrie Tait!

What’s telling about the UCP procurement scandal is the ONLY person who faced any consequences was the AHS whistleblower. #ableg #abpoli

As much as Smith tried today to spin the children’s medication debacle as being the result of former premiers or leadership races or byelections…

It was all her idea.

How do we know?

She said so.

The Alberta Health Care Scandal in a nutshell:

Government institutions gave taxpayer money to private for-profit business

The same people who control where the taxpayer money goes, also owned these private, for-profit businesses.

The question is, are you okay with this?

[The Breakdown @TheBreakdownAB]

When asked if she would take any responsibility for the Tylenot™️ scandal she created...

She blamed a former leader, a leadership race & a byelection.

Smith was elected leader in Oct 2022

She won her byelection in Nov 2022

The purchase was in Dec 2022

UPDATED: Alberta Health Services and Alberta Health broke their own rules, independent review finds.

Meanwhile, Premier Danielle Smith points to the report as evidence her govt did nothing wrong.

This is news!

Recall Demetrios. It's been approved!

[Captain Canadian @furmsies]

Man, @ABDanielleSmith might need to cave to the pressure pretty soon.

A bunch of very educated Albertans are on strike, and the gloves are off. They are exposing the UCP and Smith for the corrupt, self serving, people that they are.

Keep it up teachers, keep digging, be loud!

Danielle Smith awarded nearly $1,000,000,000 in questionable contracts to ONE company with family ties to the UCP

The Return:
🤮Faulty Face Masks
☣️ Dangerous Kids Meds
🪓 Private Surgical Clinics

When Smith says “there’s no money for students” - this is why

[Irfan Sabir @MLAIrfanSabir]

Justice Wyant report on #CorruptCare states that “unlike a public inquiry, this investigation did not have power to subpoena or hear testimony under oath. As a result, people had the opportunity to decline to be interviewed. Some did.”

We need a full public inquiry now. #ableg

[The Breakdown @TheBreakdownAB]

This.

Athana was right.

She was right to investigate.

She was right to keep receipts when the government not only refused to take her concerns seriously but actively began to shut them down.

Alberta owes her a debt of gratitude.

Remember Danielle Smith's $29M border patrol to combat drug smuggling & illegal border crossing?

Since Jan., they've only made 7 such arrests.

Imagine what $29M could do to support teachers & students.

Or address social disorder in our communities.

Better is possible #ableg
