The @NYPD105Pct, @NYPD109Pct, @NYPD111Pct and each of their Community Councils hosted fun National Night Out events that brought together the local community. Thank you to the police officers at these precincts for their work safeguarding our neighborhoods.
It was a pleasure to join the Queens Centers for Progress community in celebrating Tommy Carretta's 100th birthday. Tommy is a beloved member of the QCP family and I was happy to join AMs @Nily and @DavidWeprin in presenting him with a NYS Assembly Proclamation on the occasion.
Reminder: My office's blood drive with @NYBloodCenter is taking place this Thursday, August 6. All donors will be entered into a raffle for @NYIslanders tickets. Register at https://t.co/o38PmZk7fF.

Our Queens Public Libraries provide a wealth of vital services and programming to residents of all ages. I’m thrilled that we broke ground on a brand new Douglaston-Little Neck Library and I look forward to the day we can cut the ribbon and visit the new building.
I recently attended @CCUnitedNY's affordability rally at Bell Park Manor Terrace Co-op, where we highlighted the expanded J-51 program approved by the State Legislature and urged the City of NY to pass it into law. Thanks to @CCUnitedNY for bringing the co-op community together.
I was excited to attend the grand opening of the new and improved Alley Pond Golf Center, which is ready to welcome golf enthusiasts to eastern Queens. I thank NYC Parks and Knox Golf Academy for their work and collaboration to transform this popular recreation center.

I recently participated in a forum on antisemitism hosted by the #BayTerrace Garden Jewish Center. Thank you to the hosts for bringing the community and my colleagues together to discuss how we can further collaborate to combat the alarming increase in antisemitism.
Over the last few weeks, I've had the privilege of attending graduations for several schools throughout Northeast Queens: @BELLAcademy, @MS158Q, @PS98Q and @WJPSPC. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
A heads-up for the week ahead: dangerous heat builds Wednesday through the holiday weekend, with the heat index forecast around 100.
Today, while it is still relatively mild, is the day to safely clean and install your air conditioner so it is running well before you need it. A working AC is the most effective way to protect against heat illness, especially for older adults, people with health conditions, and anyone at higher risk.
NYCEM coordinates the city's heat response, and we know the days before the heat arrives are when preparation matters most. Have a plan today and you will be ready when the temperature climbs. https://t.co/04ULpqxfIY
Great to visit the @NYPD109Pct and meet with new Commanding Officer Deputy Inspector Karam Chowdhury to discuss how we can collaborate to improve the quality of life in Northeast Queens. I look forward to our continued work together in the future.
The dedicated team of volunteers at Glen Oaks Bayside EMS provide critical care and transportation services in eastern Queens. I was proud to allocate $300k to the organization to fund the acquisition of a brand-new emergency vehicle, which will assist their operations.
