@MckKirk@playingwithremy Just an observation from looking through some of your responses, the way you're reacting feels fanboy-like. Apreciate the attention is stressful, but surely you were aware the review would stir up the community. Plus the early leak? It feels intentionally provocative.
@rpgoblinx It's so you can map buttons and keep your thumbs on the sticks. Great for competitive play. If you train yourself to get used to them its revolutionary.
@RobDoomguy89@yiningkarlli Its all about clever use of resources right? High detail and complex physics systems in an open world game is way more impressive an achievement then in a linear game.
@RobDoomguy89@yiningkarlli A dense city is very different from the zelda-like fantasy world of CD. Amd i wouldnt be surprised is you CAN smash a glass as see the shards in the npcs. The gore system from RDR 2 seems to be in gta 6 which was crazy detailed and deffo as good, if not better then last of us.
@RobDoomguy89@yiningkarlli I think its a lot of elements combined with GTA. Face value it looks great, but factor in the real-time physics for world objects, foliage deformation, glass smashing, hair etc. There's nothing that I'm aware of that come close to what we saw in the reveal.
@AdamVergara13@MrMcWhiteGuy1 I agree with you to an extent. I didnt feel good about another version of CE. But i have enjoyed playing the new version a lot.
@ManuelKoegler@MrMcWhiteGuy1 I dont think there's a comparison to make there. None of those bedroom projects are stakeholder lead, quality controlled, multiplatform tested or hit the wider stage beyond enthusiasts.
@Greatness194832@TheActMan_YT And therein is the issue! The slightest bit of positivity and youre a shill. Hiddenexperia pointed this out recently too. And its this mindset that pushes influences to drive a more negative message in order to please follwers. The Halo community has become a self-eating snake.
@Greatness194832@TheActMan_YT Because bits tipped too far the other way into pointless takedowns and fingerpointing. There are measured voices that are offering critique worth listening to - mintblitz is a good example. But they're drowned out by a lot of overly passionate or engagement baiting noise
@PlainSightLogic@TheActMan_YT I cant imagine thats true. A DEI hire would still be subject to an interview to check passion and cultural alignment for the company. They wouldnt just be dragging anybody in off the street.
@Mindex159@TheActMan_YT I belive that if younger me was handed Campaign Evolved while playing OG CE, I wouldnt think twice about ditching the original. I get that modern standards are different, but it seems to me that a lot of the hate towards 343 is driven by nostalgia instead of critical thought.
@Mindex159@TheActMan_YT Halo under 343 produced objextively great games, each recieved fair critism for missing features and ideas that didnt land well (I hated revive in halo 5 for example). The issue is there's a lot of people who blindly believe that non-bungie halo sucks, just because.
@TheActMan_YT I will add that, although I'm happy defending HS, there is critism that can be levelled attowards them. But language like this doesnt help in any way. It re-inforces negativity which makes stakeholders decision making to cur jobs and axe projects easier.
@TheActMan_YT Doubling down on your negative rhetoric I see. There is little guarantee a different studio would perform, or please the fickle community any better. Big studios are unwealdy beats and its never easy creating something under huge pressure with so many opinionated humans.
@LateNightHalo Im not so sure. To bet on porting a game with such a low population does not seem sensible. Also consider Sony likely wanted a new shiny experiance. It would be very like them to refuse a port of game collection as old as MCC.
