EMERGENCY PRESS BRIEFING
Gentlemen of the press,
I call you today for a briefing on two major developments on the Osun political landscape.
We have credible reports that a police signal has arrived in Osun directing immediate arrest of Accord Party leaders. We also know the directive includes that they should be taken to Abuja immediately and should not be released until Monday.
I have spoken to the Inspector General of Police about the reported directive to arrest Accord Party leaders. But I am appealing to him that this development, if true, is illegal, and presents Nigeria as a lawless country. Arresting Accord Party leaders on the eve of an election amounts to police helping and assisting the APC to rig the election.
I task the IGP to issue a statement to assure Nigerians that no order has been given to arrest Accord Party leaders in Osun State. It is illegal and a threat to democracy for Accord Party leaders to be arrested on the eve of an election on trumped up charges.
It is disturbing that we still have over 62 Accord Party leaders held in illegal police detention without any charges against them. This is not democracy.
The second issue has to do with the viral video of a serving senator, Francis Fadahunsi who today called for the killing of Accord Party leaders and their families. In the video, the Senator even threatened that where they cannot get Accord Party leaders, they should kill their wives and children.
This is now beyond politics. This is now a national security threat that requires the attention of Mr President through the office of the National Security Adviser. I have raised this issue with the IGP and demanded for the immediate investigation and arrest of Senator Fadahunsi. The IGP has confirmed the video and assured of immediate action.
We request that the the IGP should stop the illegal operations of IRT, a team that has been arresting Accord Party leaders across the local governments for no just reason;
We ask that the police and the DSS immediately arrest Senator Fadahunsi for his incitement to genocide against the people of Ijesahland and Osun state. This is to prove to the world that Nigeria is a state governed by the rule of law.
We demand that the IGP enforce due process and fair policing by aborting all anti-people plots against democracy in Osun state.
We finally request that the police and other security agencies should act in line with the rule of law and their oath of office before, during and after these coming elections.
H.E., Senator Ademola Adeleke,
August 11th, 2026
I have just joined the ongoing Town Hall Meeting being organized by @ARISEtv for all candidates in the August 15th governorship election in Osun.
Here, I will be sharing my administration’s scorecard and my plans for the next four years, if elected for a second tenure.

I was deeply humbled by the warm reception received at the Cradle of all Yoruba, the prayers and words of support from the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and endorsement from the Ogunsua of Modakeke, His Royal Majesty, Oba Joseph Olubiyi Toriola.
I am grateful for the recognition of the work our administration is doing across Ile-Ife, Modakeke and the entire Osun State.
From the Lagere Flyover to the dualised road leading to the Ooni’s Palace and several other completed projects in Ile Ife, we are delivering on our promise to build a modern and prosperous Osun.
Our commitment is to do even more. The commendations from our royal fathers will only push us to work harder and deliver more dividends of good governance.
Please do not fight anyone. Let your votes speak. Be vigilant, protect your votes and follow the process from your polling units to the collation centres. We have the people. We have the support of our royal fathers. And above all, we trust in God.
Together, we will secure victory and continue building a Greater Osun.
#ImoleCarryOnAccordingly
Heart warming to see Gov Adeleke fully active in the Ancestral town of Ile-Ife to commission the flyover bridge. Every proud Osun Native will attest to the fact that this infrastructure project creates the much needed confidence and emphasizes the fact that, the right investments can truly unlock key economy opportunities and move the state forward.
My fellow Ife citizens, you were patient and supportive knowing the temporary inconvenience this brought with access to the palace road.
Today we appreciate @AAdeleke_01 for this remarkable feat and can only hope to enjoy more of these transformative projects in years to come. Thanks to his majesty @OoniAdimulaIfe for his support and prayers during the phase of this project.
My bro @MrBanksOmisore your face show, your shoe shine!

An 8-year-old boy walked through those doors. A man walks out. Dream lived. Purpose fulfilled. To every academy player at Chelsea: keep believing. Your time will come. Never give up. 💙
After 18 years, it’s time to say goodbye to Chelsea. I arrived as a nine-year-old with a dream, and I leave as a man who’s lived that dream in ways I never imagined. This journey tested me, lifted me, and strengthened me. To every teammate, coach, staff member, and supporter, thank you for shaping me. I gave everything I had, and I’m proud of the person this club helped me become. To the young players: the path won’t always be smooth. But stay ready, stay positive, and keep your faith. God’s timing is always right. Thank you all, truly, with love and gratitude.
Trevoh Chalobah has completed a permanent transfer to Como, bringing his time as a Chelsea player to an end after nearly two decades with the Blues.
Everyone at Chelsea would like to thank Trev for his years of loyal service and wish him the very best in his next chapter in Italy. 💙
I was out in ikoyi film the other day at 3am and they was a large crowd of thugs outside screaming TG Omori you go show us love before you comot for here. Long story short I snuck out leaving the shoot to my ADs and security with one more active scene left. My producer told me in the morning that the thugs broke the gate and injured the security who refused them access. It’s hell outside.
What kind of stupid take is this? How can you support the one who stole and speak evil of the one who supported them with her money? Hatred for women shouldn't cloud your logical reasoning na. Na wah o
