@bazookajoeOG My coworker cant write in cursive. He just made up his signature. I actually said to him two days ago be patient with me. I'm from the 1900s lol
@JamieBonkiewicz Teachers don't even have enough time to do all the things their job requires or the supplies it do it with it! But sure the school nurse, the track coach and the 80 yo English teacher are giving sex changes lol These people are nuts
My dream Gen X retirement community isn't a golf course or a luxury resort.
It's a fully renovated 80s/90s shopping mall.
Half the building is apartments. The other half looks exactly like the mall we grew up in.
The Waldenbooks is now a massive library where you can spend hours getting lost in books.
The food court is part of your meal plan, so you can grab an Orange Julius, a slice of pizza, Chinese food, or sit down for a proper meal at Shoney's whenever you want.
The movie theater plays classics every night.
The arcade is free and packed with Pac-Man, Galaga, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Donkey Kong, and every cabinet game we spent our allowance on.
Sam Goody is still there. You can browse CDs, listen to Bowie, The Ramones, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, or whatever you love. They even host monthly dance nights for anyone who still remembers MTV when it actually played music.
The Sharper Image has massage chairs you can reserve whenever your back reminds you that you're no longer 25.
The pharmacy is still an Eckerds.
Blockbuster is fully operational. You can rent movies, video games, and spend 30 minutes wandering the aisles before choosing something you'll probably fall asleep watching.
There's an aerobics studio offering Tae-Bo, Richard Simmons, MTV's The Grind workouts, and every fitness craze we survived the first time around.
There are fountains everywhere, a lazy river because we've earned it, and plenty of benches where people can sit and talk instead of staring at their phones.
Every morning we go mall walking before the stores "open."
Every evening we meet friends at the food court.
No algorithms. No endless scrolling. No influencers.
Just books, music, movies, arcades, friends, nostalgia, and the feeling that for a few hours, it's 1995 again.
Honestly, I'd put my name on the waiting list today.
@rcklandarcher My mom said people complain they are broke but every time he announces a concert people rushing to buy tickets. I said yes that's how it works you have zero money until Harry announces because he's magic.
@paulharper75 54 I'm the same boat. I cant force myself to dating sites and just haven't found the right person. I donโt feel like what I want is outrageous but I can't be bothered with drama.
So many people are seeing the Wham! In China documentary and I love seeing how much love it is getting. I really love seeing people who either discredited them or had forgotten what amazing talent George was but partnered with @ajridgeley it's unmistakable what a band they were.
