Fiona Apple was waiting for the entire world to descend into restless melancholic rage and then once we all started pacing our kitchens in our underwear in the middle of the night she was like, “You’re ready.”
Just thought Jac must really, really care about Kian considering she ended her relationship with Joseph over him booking them a walking holiday #HolbyCity
The only bad thing about that episodes the silly snowflake line. Love the mix of absurd plot &
emotional truth. I’m feeling hopeful that they will continue to deal with Jac’s mental health in a respectful & realistic way #HolbyCity
There is absolutely no place for TERFs here. Treating trans people with dignity saves lives. Transphobia kills. I don't care if you understand or not. There is no "just an opinion." Transphobia is violence and there's nothing radical about it.
Hell there’s so much we could explore with her teen years till she appeared on screen & all we got was that. Now she’s gonna be off screen & come back on the road to recovery. Bet we won’t even get a diagnosis or address the abuse in her past. The payoff just wasn’t worth it
Gonna have to rely on fanfic to fix it now. Just really bummed they so traumatically pulled my fave character apart (& the actor to a certain extent) to waste it on that. Jac is the show, there’s 14 years of subtext & trauma not dealt with.
And stop with all the wise men references!!!!! We don’t need it every scene. Your audience is smart and paying attention so don’t treat them like they are not engaged. If you need to rely on that then maybe question if you’ve got a good script in the first place
Just caught up with Holby and feeling really sad. That episode was awfully written. Lots of clever sounding dialogue that actually made no sense. Heavy handed cliches & no real insight. The actors did a wonderful job with what they were given
Team that with Fletch making Jac’s breakdown all about him, heaping unfathomable amounts of misery on poor Chloe for all to be about bloody Cameron. May as well say that you hate women and they all need to suffer
Just managed to catch up with #HolbyCity. Right now I’m just physically shaking, numb on the verge of crying. Rosie clearly put so much of herself for that performance & it’s so shocking to watch. I hope she’s proud of what she achieved. I felt every second & it bloody hurt
