It can’t be easy to go on radio & TV to admit to loneliness, isolation & mental health struggles. But this is a story of hope over despair & the importance of community.
In Ederney, Co Fermanagh a derelict building on Main Street has been transformed into a Community Hub. Using £250,000 #NationalLottery funding the project tackles rural isolation by providing tearooms, co-working space and a wellbeing hub as part of a Village Catalyst programme.
Poverty and isolation affects our rural communities. However a project to restore a derelict building in a County Fermanagh village is breathing new life into the area. Our south west reporter Julian Fowler has been to Ederney to find out more.
