Its possible that somehow the
97 Masters isn’t appreciated enough.
Tiger Woods used a steel shafted driver and a balata golf ball and yet overpowered Augusta and the field.
He hit short irons into the par 4’s. Mid irons into the par 5’s. He went driver-8 iron into the 550 yard 2nd hole. He wins by 12.
He literally played a different game from the entire field. All while swinging smooth and naturally.
He would then change his swing and win the Grand Slam.
And yet, somehow one can wonder how his career goes if he never drastically changes this swing. Would love to know the results of that alternate timeline.
The head of the US Postal Service has warned lawmakers that the storied 250-year-old agency is at a “critical juncture” and will run out of cash in less than a year unless Congress allows it to borrow more money and charge more for postage. https://t.co/YIwDO56XSP
Big K.R.I.T. released ‘4Eva N a Day’ 14 years ago today…
It wasn’t just another mixtape, it was the follow up to his breakout project K.R.I.T. Wuz Here and the fan favorite Return of 4Eva. At the time, K.R.I.T. had already signed to Def Jam Recordings, but he still chose to give the project away for free, staying true to the mixtape culture that built his fanbase.
What made 4Eva N a Day special is that K.R.I.T. handled most of the production himself, something he’s always been known for. The tape blends soulful Southern production with reflective storytelling about life, faith, and growing up in Mississippi. Songs like “Boobie Miles” quickly became fan favorites and are still considered some of the most powerful records in his catalog.
K.R.I.T. released the mixtape on his birthday, making it feel like a personal gift to fans. Over time, 4Eva N a Day has become one of the most respected mixtapes of the DatPiff era and solidified K.R.I.T.’s reputation as one of hip hop’s most talented rapper/producers.
146 years of excellence.
Today on #FoundersDay, we take a look back at those who paved the way and laid the foundation for generations of Southernites to lead, serve and succeed.
