The Mexican government experimented with their citizens health and they want to justify it by trying to publish the results of their poorly written paper. The worst thing is that I know there will be no consequences for their actions
@AppDemography@PPmerino@socarxiv Yes. We are the wrong people to argue with on the merits of a paper. Low quality research is ok, that's common, but dosing hundreds of thousands of unconsenting people with unproven medicine and *then* putting bad research to justify it on our platform is where we draw the line.
@BecomingDataSci I am curious to know the use case of PHP in data science which is used more frequently than Julia for example. Same as HTML/CSS my guess is dashboardibg
@BecomingDataSci Conda is what works for me 95% of the time and for anyone starting should do the job. Great way to get into Python environmens and experiment
@BecomingDataSci I would start understanding how to use an ORM like SQL alchemy, extract data from a DB and a rest API, transform the data using pandas. To sparkle some viz on top of it use matplotlib or Tableau Public.
@BecomingDataSci Here's my list
1 Data warehouse
2 Data processing
3 CS
My suggestion is to start with something that people are familiar with and try to solve a specific problem with whatever tools you have at hand, don't be afraid to jump in rabbit holes to while learning!
