🚨 Ditto responds to the reported $1M OTC incident.

According to the team, this was not a subnet exploit, wallet hack, or compromised cold storage.

The claim is that an escrow party was socially engineered into releasing funds before payment was received.

Cold keys remain secure.
Systems remain secure.

Now the real questions begin:

Who was the escrow?
Why wasn’t a trustless OTC solution used?
Can the funds be recovered?

This doesnt look like a protocol failure.

It looks like a very expensive lesson in OTC risk.

This week was massive for Bittensor.

TAO is heating up, YumaGroup was in Washington DC talking decentralized AI with lawmakers, Ditto is growing fast, and the US government is now making moves around AI model access.

That is not some small update.

That is the exact kind of moment where decentralized AI starts to feel way bigger then just another crypto narrative.

We also cover Oroagents training AI to shop in the open, Zipcode partner discussions, Vidaio launching its API for SN85, and the huge SN38 shift from Colosseum to ChronoLLM.

SN38 did not just rebrand.

TAO is up almost 40 percent off the lows right after having its Anthropic moment, and people still do not understand how big this setup could get.

Bitcoin had Cyprus in 2013.

Banks froze access, people woke up, and BTC went from around $47 to $266 in about 3 weeks.

That was the moment decentralized money made sense.

Now Bittensor is having its moment with AI.

The government can restrict access to intelligence, centralized labs can gate the models, and suddenly decentralized AI stops sounding like a niche crypto idea.

It starts sounding necessary.
