Welp, I was right about the heavy workload. Dude got 19 touches, but damn he was inefficient. Certainly not an RB2 for the week. Bam Knight was far and away more effective with his touches. We will see if Love is playing this week, I believe he is trending towards doing so.
With Love ruled out for Week 6, look for Allgeier to get a heavy workload. He immediately becomes a high end RB2 for this week. I’m thinking he ends up with between 15-20 touches this week. If he is still on waivers anywhere, you need to grab him now. You may also want to consider making a trade with a desperate Jeremiyah Love owner and see what they will give you for Allgeier if you already have him. #sportsanalytics @CarThom15

The Edge Theory’s NFL Week 2 Sunday Preview
Fantasy projections, betting lines, score predictions and the plays we like most
Week 1 gave us absolute chaos.
Chicago scored 59. Baltimore hung 41 on Indianapolis. Buffalo and Houston combined for 67. The Lions needed overtime. And league-wide scoring averaged 49.4 points per game, tying 2012 for the highest-scoring opening week since the AFL-NFL merger.
Now comes the dangerous part: figuring out which Week 1 performances were real and which ones were complete bullshit.
That’s where we’re headed with our Week 2 Sunday preview.
We’re breaking down all 13 morning and afternoon games, looking at the current betting lines, projecting the fantasy players who matter most and giving our picks on where we’d actually put our money.
Lines are current as of September 18 and may move before kickoff. Fantasy projections below are our projections using full-PPR scoring.
I think the Commanders showed they want to get him involved and he definitely showed chemistry with Daniels. I think we can expect to see him maintain a share of the targets, but Diggs and McLaurin are going to bounce back and get theirs as well. I’d like to see a couple more weeks of Williams balling out before I set his floor. I think his ceiling is quite high though.
@RykerThomas3 He may be a little too much to handle for my Vikings this week. The fan in me wants to take the Vikings, but our engine is saying Bears all the way.
FINAL WORD
Week 1 is always dangerous.
One huge performance can make a team look unstoppable. One terrible afternoon can make a good team look broken.
The trick in Week 2 isn’t simply chasing whatever happened seven days ago.
It’s figuring out which parts of it are likely to happen again.
For us, that means buying Chicago’s offensive upside, looking for points in Houston and Dallas, taking Jacksonville seriously and remaining willing to grab underdogs when the market overreacts to one Sunday.
And from a fantasy standpoint?
Give us Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Ja’Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb and Brian Thomas Jr.
Those are some of the guys we’re riding with in Week 2.
Game We’re Least Excited About
Steelers at Patriots
A 41.5-point total and the potential for a slower game script aren’t exactly screaming fantasy fireworks.
We’ll take our required starters and happily look elsewhere for upside.
