we found another new IB range.
it's from 12-1pm. here's the data on $NQ over the last 6 months:
โ 72.44% of the time, only one side of the IB range breaks (single break)
โ 23.62% of the time, price breaks both sides of the IB (double break)
โ 3.94% of the time there is no break
takeaway:
avoid the morning volatility, trade the lunch IB instead.

NQ just opened above the weekly open and instantly displaced higher.
Hereโs the crazy part:
Over the last 6 months, when NQ opened above the weekly open, it retraced back to it 88.24% of the time.
When it opened below, it retraced 100% of the time.
Data like this is exactly why I stay patient.
The move is already happening.
Now Iโm waiting for the retracement into the weekly open and a clean V-Shape. ๐
tired of losing money thinking $NQ will reverse after it breaks the morning range?
on $NQ over the last 3 months, the NY session IB has shown:
โ 81.25% there was a single break (broke only the high or only the low)
โ 15.63% there was a double break (broke both the high and the low)
โ 3.13% of the days there was no break
the takeaway:
once one side breaks, donโt automatically expect price to reverse back through the other side

the 5min IB data on $NQ over the last 6 months shows:
โ 68.5% of the time we break the IB high and the IB low (double break)
takeaway:
if the 5min IB high breaks = target IB low
if the 5min IB low breaks = target IB high
the reason this feels so hard is because you actually care about getting it right. the traders who don't care aren't struggling. they're just losing slowly and calling it a hobby.
