@remedygames might have actually created one of the most innovative open world designs we've seen in the last 3 generations.

I'm not even trying to gas it up, but it genuinely feels fresh.

Normally, you go into an open world and know what's what. You've done it 100x before. You learn the map, follow the paths, climb the towers, clear the markers. Rinse and repeat.

But CONTROL RESONANT is different.

Once you unlock your traversal abilities, the entire world starts to change. Places you thought you understood suddenly become something completely different. You're not just moving through the environment anymore; you're using your abilities to rethink how you navigate it.

You can look up, look across, or look down and suddenly realise there's an entirely different route or layer to explore. Areas aren't just flat spaces with a few collectibles scattered around. The verticality, the geometry and the traversal all work together to make exploration feel like solving a puzzle.

And that's what makes it so special. Your progression doesn't just make you more powerful. It changes how you see and experience the world itself.

Even when you think you've finished exploring an area, look up or side to side and flip the whole thing on its head. Quite literally.

This isn't just visually amazing. It's an outright mind boggling sucker punch to the current standard for open world design.

Remedy might genuinely have changed the game !!

The PlayStation 5 jailbreak community has successfully achieved direct playback of classic PlayStation 2 games straight from original discs using emulation. Players can now insert their retro media into the console drive without dumping image files.

Following this breakthrough, modders are actively finalizing similar disc reading capabilities for PlayStation 3 physical media. The implementation confirms that the disc drive is fully capable of reading legacy disc formats directly.

These community results clearly demonstrate that Sony possessed the technical ability to offer comprehensive disc backwards compatibility throughout the entire console lifecycle, yet opted not to invest effort into this feature.

+ 60 FPS 95% of the time using Frame Gen
+ 30 FPS toggle if you don’t want frame gen on
+ Uncapped mode (producer stated they are using VRR on “compatible displays” I don’t feel it but supposedly that would only show over 40 fps?
+ 1440p DLSS upscaled output
+ Decent load times

- No Gyro is MADNESS when it’s in other versions
- there’s a BIG handheld bug causing the game to get locked for around a minute
- Pop in of some world elements is WAY too close
