#OTD in 1969 Esk Valley College officially opened its purpose built campus at Newbattle Road, having previously been housed in Nissen huts. This in turn was replaced in 2008 with the building that is Edinburgh College's Midlothian campus.
Do you have any memories of Newbattle?
Today is #MinersDay. The origins of Edinburgh College can be traced back to a miners college in #Midlothian. Esk Valley College began teaching in Nissen Huts before moving to a purpose built campus in 1968 to teach students mining and associated professions

In July 2006 Telford College moved to a state of the art campus at Edinburgh's waterfront. Here are some photographs of the old campus at #Granton just prior to and during #demolition. The new campus is still used by Edinburgh College today.
#OTD in 2008 saw the opening of EH15 - the restaurant at Edinburgh College's Milton Road campus. The restaurant, open to the public, is still open today and is where the college's professional cookery students learn their craft 🧑🍳https://t.co/FpJJxl2XEa
