Lots of action up at Kinleith this morning.
Whilst the @Edinburgh_CC forestry team removed large logs from the river, we sprayed for Giant Hogweed, removed litter from the banks and trimmed back the walkway edges to maintain the width.
All before the rain arrived 😀 😀

Assisted by my fellow picker Bob, we got the 19 collected bags off the East shore.
Using our buggy and barrow, we got 25 bags, 3 gas bottles, and 6 tyres back to collection point.
Spongebob was found too.

After the Council pulled out of the Marchmont LTN, the pressure is on to make sure Leith LTN stays - or is improved - and is not scrapped due to who can shout loudest on social media.

100 Earthcleanup bags of Litter now removed from Clearwater's Stevenson creek since Nov 30th.
For whatever reason, there were numerous aluminum cans floating around today. 25 to be exact, & 3 of those were housing hermit crabs🦀. Had to cut one of the cans open to set him free👋
