As an environmental journalist, I found it brilliant how the film uses magic realism and weaves a story (a pahadi fable) around forest fires, pesticides use, fireflies and the breathtaking beauty of the Himalaya!

Jugnuma (9.5/10) is a rare gem. It is not mainstream, doesn’t have songs, has an open ending, an abstract theme, yet has a narrative and pace that keep you hooked for the full 2 hours.
