@jme_mmxm Thank you for sharing. Quick question, Isn’t the higher IOF bearish? From the last video you created haven’t you ideally have “broken one of the rules”?
@brox_mmxm@jme_mmxm So is the idea is to wait for the first 15 minutes to see how the market reacts along with SMT with correlated assets and then enter?
@Romeotpt@Rt10Tedy In the words of @Romeotpt
When you’re bearish; don’t enter at once.
Wait for a bullish pop above an old high.
When you’re bullish; don’t enter at once.
Wait for a bearish dump below an old low.
I just came across a business making $2.5M/yr selling eucalyptus bed sheets.
And the founders had no prior experience in textiles.
But the best part?
It’s called "Sheets and Giggles."
Here’s the breakdown:
The company Colin McIntosh worked at had just failed.
He wanted to start a new biz & listed out important criteria like:
• A large, competitive market (with proven demand) to differentiate in
• A market with no brand loyalty/affinity
• A product with simple supply chains
He finally found the idea while watching a movie where someone sells bed sheets.
He was a big sustainability person & eucalyptus lyocell came out on top as the most sustainable fabric for his bedsheets.
He secured a domain & validated demand using textbook techniques:
• Built a scrappy landing page
• Spent a little $ on FB ads for traffic
• Crowdfunded to gather an email list for when he launched
So: now that demand's been validated, how does he build the product... given he has no textiles experience?
Outside consultants.
They launched to 500 customers on day 1 & exceeded crowdfunding goals by $20k.
Then stepped it up with:
• SEO
• Actually funny emails
• Great customer service (online & by phone)
As well as their own Black Friday campaign, "Purple Friday," which bagged $22k in sales in 1 day.
Today, they've:
• Shipped nearly 200,000 products
• Raised a total of $1.86M over 5 rounds of funding
• Ranked #309 on the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing private companies in the US
They also put their money where their mouth is...
McIntosh wanted to build a biz that let his kids "inherit a livable world," so they've:
• Donated $100k+ to charity
• Planted 2 trees for every 1 harvested
• Donated a percent of proceeds to their local community per Pledge 1% Colorado
Respect for this. Anyone can spout an opinion. It takes an actual builder to create the world they want.
