The Bible calls believers to "always be ready for His coming" because Jesus will return unexpectedly, as described in verses like Matthew 24:42-44 and Luke 12:40. We are to be vigilant, stay sober, and live with faith, love, and hope, rather than being anxious about earthly matters, thus the parable of the wise and foolish virgins.

Jesus' coming will be unexpected, so we must always be ready, awake, and prepared, as it is written in Matthew 25.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-8: "But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. You are all children of light... Let us not sleep then... let us be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love.
