Huh, is the infamously unstable PS3 FTP simply caused by a slow HDD? I got a some 1TB HDDs to upgrade in my PS3 and Xbox 360, and transferring back like 40k files in /dev_hdd0/game went by without a hitch on the new drive. Couldn't even get a fraction of it with the old HDD.

If I had a cent for every time the PS3 version of GTA IV has straight up deleted a vehicle right in front of my eyes I would have like 4 cents which isn't a lot but it's weird that it keeps happening
Am I crazy, or does the PS3 version of GTA IV feel like it has somewhat reduced physics fidelity than 360/PC? Feels like I encounter more random physics glitches than usual, along with the game in general trying its hardest just to stay alive on the PS3.
Not sure if performing the glitch to have all companions recruited together in Fallout: New Vegas was the smartest choice, especially on the already unstable PS3 version, but...
Decided to write up a blog post about the ancient Windows Movie Maker bug where it completely messed up colors of some images.
It's not exactly a scientific write up but it doesn't seem that anyone ever tried to dive deep into this, so hopefully it can be a useful starting point
Shout-out to Rockstar and/or Dimitri's voice actor in GTA IV who calls Niko as Baltic instead of Balkan when speaking Russian on at least two occasions
And after countless game freezes, lock-ups, system crashes, and even a few save corruptions, I finally got Platinum in it! It really is a miracle this miserable port made it past Sony's certification QA.
(Eventually I also got the Xbox360 version which should be much better)
3 years ago I picked up a copy of Fallout 3 for the PS3 that wasn't dumped on Redump yet. One night I decided to check it out, having never played Fallout but hearing a lot about it, and knowing full well Bethesda PS3 ports are ass. Unexpectedly, I got really sucked into it...
The Redump preservation project, responsible for documenting and gathering metadata for over 132 000 video game-related discs, has finally moved to a new website: https://t.co/W2YLmvS9ST
It's maintained by the same staff and now on an updated web server with modern technologies!
> Boot up Fallout 3 on the PS3
> Enter the building I was just outside of in my last autosave
> Game crashes
> Autosave corrupted
why do i do this to myself
