Aku seorang suami.

Sehari-hari jualan pakaian pria di sebuah toko kecil.

Dulu aku selalu berpikir, selama mau kerja keras, rezeki pasti datang.

Ternyata kenyataannya nggak sesederhana itu.

Beberapa bulan terakhir, toko sering sepi.

Ada hari dari pagi sampai malam cuma beberapa orang yang masuk.

Bahkan kadang nggak ada satu pun transaksi.

Padahal setiap bulan tetap harus bayar kontrakan toko, listrik, kebutuhan rumah, dan tanggung jawab sebagai kepala keluarga.

Jujur, pernah beberapa kali aku duduk sendirian di dalam toko sambil menghitung uang di dompet.

Dalam hati cuma bertanya, "Cukup nggak ya buat bertahan sampai bulan depan?"

Sebagai suami, rasanya berat kalau lihat istri ikut kepikiran soal kondisi keuangan.

Apalagi saat semua pengeluaran harus dihemat sebaik mungkin.

Tapi menyerah bukan pilihan.

Kalau aku berhenti, siapa yang akan terus berjuang untuk keluarga?

Setiap pagi aku tetap buka toko.

Merapikan baju, membersihkan rak, lalu berharap ada pelanggan yang datang.

Aku juga mulai belajar promosi lewat media sosial, foto produk yang lebih menarik, ikut live, kasih promo, dan berusaha melayani setiap pelanggan sebaik mungkin.

Pelan-pelan aku sadar, usaha juga harus ikut berkembang.

Hasilnya memang belum langsung besar.

Kadang ada penjualan, kadang masih sepi.

Tapi setidaknya aku tahu kalau aku sedang bergerak, bukan hanya mengeluh.

Aku percaya, rezeki nggak selalu datang secepat yang kita inginkan.

Yang penting jangan berhenti menjemputnya.

Semoga siapa pun yang sedang berjuang mempertahankan usahanya diberikan kekuatan.

Semoga toko yang hari ini masih sepi, suatu saat dipenuhi pelanggan.

Dan semoga setiap ikhtiar yang kita lakukan menjadi jalan rezeki yang berkah.

Terima kasih untuk semua yang pernah membeli, bertanya, membagikan postingan, atau sekadar mendoakan usaha kecil kami.

Dukungan sekecil apa pun sangat berarti.

Selama masih diberi kesehatan dan kesempatan, aku akan terus membuka pintu toko setiap pagi.

Teruslah berisik. Teruslah berisik mengkritisi embege, teruslah berisik mengkritisi advokat nakal yang membela penjahat, teruslah berisik mengkritisi pejabat publik yang pribadi atau anak-anaknya terang-terangan pamer kekayaan.

Teruslah berisik tentang keadaan pasar dan ekonomi kita yang jauh dari baik-baik saja. Kita semua bisa menghantam mereka. Kita semua bisa mempengaruhi psikologis orang-orang berkuasa.

Berisiknya kita bisa mempengaruhi kebijakan politik para penyelenggara negara!

Animal protection organisations and specialized units use drones with thermal cameras and powerful zoom lenses that make it possible to locate animals even at night. In addition, the images obtained serve as evidence to initiate legal action and remove the dogs in serious cases.

Polish legislation states that dogs cannot be kept permanently chained and requires a minimum space for movement. Thanks to this technology, authorities have managed to detect abuse that was previously difficult to prove.

Indonesia has officially banned elephant riding across the country, delivering a long-sought victory for animal welfare advocates.

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry announced that the ban came into effect in January 2026 via Circular Letter No. 6 of 2025. The directive instructs all zoos, conservation centers, and tourism operators to immediately cease offering elephant rides, with non-compliant facilities risking revocation of their operating licenses.

The move follows years of growing concern over the welfare of elephants used in the tourism industry. According to World Animal Protection, elephants trained for rides are routinely subjected to cruel methods, including bullhooks and extended periods of chaining, which cause both physical injuries and severe psychological trauma. PETA Asia has also reported that these animals are often denied natural behaviors, resulting in chronic suffering and significantly reduced lifespans.

This nationwide ban marks a major step forward for ethical wildlife tourism in Indonesia.

Opossums are among the most unfairly maligned animals in North America. Their nocturnal habits, hissing, and toothy displays often lead people to view them as pests or threats. In reality, these quiet marsupials provide some of the most valuable services in urban and suburban ecosystems.

Contrary to popular belief, opossums very rarely carry or transmit rabies. Their lower body temperature makes it difficult for the virus to survive, making cases extremely uncommon.

They are also highly effective pest controllers. A single opossum can consume thousands of ticks per season, helping reduce the spread of dangerous tick-borne illnesses like Lyme disease. Beyond ticks, they act as nature’s sanitation workers, scavenging on carrion, insects, fallen fruit, and organic waste. This cleanup work helps limit bacteria and disease while keeping ecosystems balanced.

Their dramatic defensive displays, hissing, baring teeth, and even “playing dead” with a foul odor, are mostly bluffs designed to deter predators rather than signs of aggression.

Far from being a nuisance, opossums are beneficial neighbors quietly doing the dirty work that keeps our environment cleaner and healthier. The next time you spot one, there’s no need to fear or harm it, just let it continue its important nighttime duties.

In Palitana, something happened that most of the world has never seen before.

This city made a bold choice. Meat is no longer part of daily life there. Slaughterhouses were shut down. Butcher shops closed their doors. Selling or eating meat inside the city became illegal.

This did not come from a trend or a government experiment. It came from deep belief. Hundreds of Jain monks protested. Many went on a hunger strike. They asked for a city that follows nonviolence in the purest form. No killing. No harm.

And it worked.

Around 250 butcher shops were forced to close. Thousands of animals were spared. For many people, it changed how they lived overnight.

Not everyone agreed. Some lost their jobs. Some felt their choices were taken away. Others saw it as a powerful stand for compassion.

No matter where you stand, one thing is clear. This is not just a policy. It is a statement.

A whole city chose to say that life matters more than habit.

And in a world where meat is everywhere, that choice stands out.
