I bear this scar and pain for Jesus. This is the mark that I left darkness into light.
Although, after many surgeries, the medical complications are still there, but I will never go back from following Jesus.
I was in a church sharing my salvation experience, and after I have preached and about 300 hundred gave their lives to Christ, as I was coming out of the church, some people shouted, Pastor we need your help.
Unknown to me, they were angry Muslim who were bittษred because of a growing number of people who are leaving Islam in my community in Gambia because of my testimony.
As I looked back, one of them poured a bucked of acid on my face, as I turned the other side, another one poured another bucket of acid and they were shouting:
"Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar".
My eyes were affected but not totally blinded. I am joyfully bearing the scars and the pain. That is the price I have to pay in following Jesus.
Brethren stood by me, they prayed for me, they took care of me. There is love in Jesus.
Please ๐ pray that the Lord will heal my pains completely. Pray for my faith not to shake.
Although, they are still threatening me, but there is no going back from following Jesus.

Behold! A WATCHMAN at the GATES of DOCTRINE.
May God bless the womb from which you proceeded from!
May your days be long and full of honey!
May your seeds never become the reason for which your soul will be ached and weary....
May your coast be enlarged and may your voice travel even farther to the uttermost parts of the earth,
even as God keeps riding on it to quench the hunger and thirst of many who are been ravaged by the famine currently plaguing the Lord's bride, and the more weighty famine that is to come......
It is an honor to witness your days!
Live forever, Sir! โ.

I was born with sickle cell disease.
I had Crisis after crisis, constant pain, multiple organ damage by age 28. Doctors said I wouldnโt see 35.
During one brutal episode, I prayed like never before while hooked up to morphine. The pain vanished overnight.
Follow up tests showed my hemoglobin was normal. No sickle cells. Geneticists ran every test, markers for the disease had disappeared. I havenโt had a crisis in 4 years.
My hematologist calls me the walking miracle file.
You have to believe that there is God.
Money lessons for poor people from a moderately smart African:
1. Don't invest your money in a business you do not understand well. Not even in firms like Google, Nvidia etc.
2. If you are not confident that your investment will outpace inflation & currency devaluation, do not do it.
3. Invest your money in a business you know well, typically one you control. If you are not skilled enough to start a business, go back to learning.
4. Invest your money first in learning, then in distribution (potential reach & sales network), then in your actual business. Each one pays for itself and the next step.
5. Participate in the largest possible economy you have access to and an interest in.
6. Keep your expenses low and bare until you have mastered a skill.
7. Don't keep amorphous โrainy dayโ savings. Save for a particular short-term goal if you need to. Otherwise, plow as much as you can into your learning, or distribution, or business.
8. Once you achieve a financial breakthrough, don't rest on your oars. Reinvest in another cycle of learning, distribution and business.
9. Marry a man or woman of great character, typically one similar in mindset to you. Do it early and do it simple.
10. Try not to borrow, especially if you don't have a certain way of repaying in a short window. Avoid anything that could cause a significant damage to your current financial cycle. Don't even borrow for your learning, or distribution, or business if the potential risk is significant.
@ConstantPolaris My pick for next POTUS too.
Apart from he's obvious qualities, he's arguably the most eloquent person I know in governance anywhere in the world.
please, who knows anyone in CCI Ibadan that can follow up a new (ex-muslim) convert when he goes to church this Sunday?
ideally, Iโd love for him to come to my church, but thereโs quite some distance, and I think CCI is solid enough for him.
if you can help, kindly reach out.
There was a king of Spain whose jaw stuck out so far his teeth couldn't meet. His tongue was so big he could barely talk. He had seizures. He looked like an old man at 30 and died childless at 39. His entire family had been marrying their cousins for nearly 200 years.
His name was Charles II, the last of the Habsburgs. And he is the textbook case scientists still point to when explaining why countries ban cousin marriages.
The Habsburgs ran most of Europe in that period, and they refused to marry outside the family. Uncles married nieces. First cousins married each other. Royals kept marrying back into the same bloodline, generation after generation, to keep the crown in the family.
Spanish scientists eventually pieced together the family tree to see what this did to their DNA. They tracked 3,000 people across 16 generations. They calculated something called an inbreeding score. It measures how much of your DNA ends up in two identical copies because both your parents inherited it from the same ancestor.
A normal person scores almost zero. Philip I, the dynasty's founder, scored 0.025. Charles II, born about five generations later, scored 0.254. That is the same score a child would get if their parents were brother and sister.
Every person quietly carries a few broken genes. They usually don't cause problems, because the matching copy from your other parent works fine. But when both your parents come from the same closed family tree, you start inheriting the same broken copies from both sides. Nothing cancels them out. They start showing up.
About a quarter of Charles's DNA was identical pairs of these broken genes, which is why his body fell apart. He couldn't have children. When he died in 1700 with no heir, every kingdom in Europe started fighting over who would inherit Spain. The war that followed killed an estimated 700,000 people.
A UK study followed 11,000 babies and found the same pattern. Children born to first cousins were twice as likely to have a birth defect, 6% versus 3%.
Norway banned cousin marriage in 2024. Sweden's ban takes effect July 1, 2026. The Habsburgs ran this experiment over three centuries ago, and the science has been clear ever since.
