Will India ever be able to reach the FIFA World Cup?
I’m repeating it again — come to the Northeast.
Come to the villages, the muddy grounds, the small towns.
Talk to every footballer on the ground and ask them what football means to them.
For them, football is not just a game.
It’s food. It’s hope. It’s the only way out.
It’s waking up at 5am to train barefoot.
It’s playing in the rain with no coach, no turf, no boots.
It’s leaving home at 14 with 3 lakh in debt just for one chance.
Never compare the passion and dedication that Northeast people have for football with anyone else.
You will see a different breed of players here.
Players with speed, stamina, hunger, and heart that money can’t buy.
The sacrifices they’ve made don’t even count.
The injuries they played through don’t count.
The dreams they buried because their parents couldn’t afford one more year don’t count.
Give us the same academies, the same turf, the same scouts, the same respect —
and watch what happens.
The next Indian player to wear the World Cup jersey is already here.
He’s in Manipur. He’s in Mizoram. He’s in Meghalaya. He’s in Northeast.
He’s just waiting for someone to notice.
