El cambio climático no espera a que termine un Mundial. De hecho, mientras se disputaba ya estábamos viviendo incendios muy graves en España, como el de Los Gallardos, en Almería.

Pero hay algo todavía más importante: confundir el origen de un incendio con las condiciones que favorecen su propagación es un error. El cambio climático no prende directamente la llama. Un incendio puede comenzar por una negligencia, un accidente, un rayo o de forma intencionada. Lo que hace el calentamiento global es modificar el escenario en el que después se desarrolla ese fuego.

Temperaturas más altas, vegetación y suelos más secos, menor humedad del combustible y episodios meteorológicos extremos pueden hacer que una ignición encuentre unas condiciones mucho más favorables para propagarse y convertirse en un incendio difícil de controlar.

Por supuesto que tenemos que hablar de prevención, gestión forestal, abandono rural, medios de extinción y de quién provoca los incendios. Nada de eso contradice el papel del cambio climático. Son factores que se suman, no explicaciones excluyentes.

El clima no entiende de calendarios, mundiales ni argumentos políticos. Responde a las leyes de la física. Y dar a entender este tipo de cosas sin ser ciertas contribuye a la desinformación y confusión.

滅多に表に出ないサイゲームスの渡邊社長へのインタビュー記事。非常に読み応えがあった。

特に印象的だったのは、ゲーム開発の起点として「なんとなく」を大切にしている、という話。ユーザーがゲームを手に取るときの動機の多くは、実は「なんとなく」で決まっている。だから作る側も、その「なんとなく」に応えられるものを作らないといけない。ロジカルな企画書や調査では説明しづらいこの感覚を、社長自身が言語化していることが、この会社の強さの根っこにある気がした。

CBT以来、大きな続報は途絶えていたが、サイゲームス社長の渡邊耕一氏は、同社側から「やめた」と言わない限り開発は続いていると説明。現在もクオリティーを高めており、最新情報を届けるころにはさらに磨きをかけた状態になるという。
