Why I Joined the Forward Faster #Accelerator and Why #Women Focused Accelerators Matter
Building a #company is often described as a journey of product, capital, and execution. In reality it is also a journey of proximity. Proximity to the right networks, the right conversations, and the right people who understand what it takes to build something meaningful.
That is one of the reasons I joined the Forward Faster Accelerator by FFinc.
Forward Faster is a six month programme designed to support ambitious female powered businesses in the #UnitedKingdom. It brings together founders, investors, industry experts, and mentors to create an environment where companies can grow with intention and clarity.
For founders building in complex sectors such as deep technology, aviation, and autonomous systems, access to experienced operators and investors is invaluable. These are industries where mistakes can be expensive and where the distance between an idea and a real deployment can be long.
Accelerators can shorten that distance.
At their best they provide more than mentorship. They provide exposure to the difficult questions that sharpen a founder’s thinking. They connect entrepreneurs to people who have already built companies and navigated the same challenges.
For women founders the value is often even greater.
The reality is that women continue to receive a smaller share of venture capital globally. This is not a reflection of ambition or ability. It reflects structural barriers that still exist in funding networks and decision making circles.
Targeted accelerators help address this imbalance by creating pathways to capital, partnerships, and visibility.
Programmes like Forward Faster create environments where women founders can focus on building, scaling, and learning without having to constantly justify their presence in the room.
I joined this accelerator because I want @SwerfvalkGlobal to grow with discipline and global ambition. I also joined because I believe strongly that women must not only participate in the innovation economy. We must shape it.
The future of technology should be built by diverse minds, bold thinkers, and founders who are willing to solve difficult problems.
Accelerators like Forward Faster are helping ensure that more women are part of building that future.
Big milestone for @SwerfvalkGlobal

Agentic AI offers immense potential, but its risks cannot be ignored. As AI systems gain more autonomy, adversaries will exploit new vulnerabilities, requiring proactive security strategies. Organizations must integrate strong authentication, anomaly detection, and AI behavior monitoring to mitigate threats. Read more here: https://t.co/nwegOPWwlR #cybersecurity #AI
The rollback of #DEI in #tech others US echoes South Africa’s “swart gevaar” rhetoric—stoking fear of #Black and marginalized professionals by framing diversity as incompetence. Women (26.7%) & Blacks (4%) remain sidelined as pay gaps persist. Read more: https://t.co/z6hyH9Pp8Q
This trend fuels stereotypes of incompetence, perpetuating pay gaps—women earn $0.82 for every dollar earned by men, while Black employees earn 17% less than their white peers. Such narratives mirror South Africa’s “swart gevaar,” stoking anti-diversity sentiments under the guise of meritocracy.
Data shows diversity drives innovation and profitability. It’s time to reaffirm DEI as essential to building equitable, high-performing workplaces. Let’s ensure talent, not prejudice, shapes the future of tech.
