Comprehensive integrated #STEM to replace siloed science class. Competency-based assessment to replace grading. We build systems to support teaching & learning.
We were sick of dysfunctional #learning systems for #secondary & #highschool . So we re-engineered them from the ground up. There's a complete solution for #science class, but the #systems apply 2 all subjects & #highered & #workplace 🌎Learn more https://t.co/DJrPxLSvu9 #STEMed

Teen levels of physical, mental and social health are historically low. Screens serve as a handy scapegoat, but the fact is we’ve built an extremely hostile public realm.
Reverse that trend, and they’ll jump at the chance to get outside, move their bodies and meet their friends.
Controlling parenting isn't good for kids. It puts their well-being at risk.
238 studies, 38 countries, 126k ppl: Kids with controlling parents have higher rates of depression and anxiety. Kids with autonomy-supportive parents are happier.
Freedom is a foundation of well-being.
THis is a nice interactive story map previewing the latest report from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine. Our work aligns with ALL 5 of their Frames. So #science and #STEM teachers, what do you say? Join us!

The Tropical Atlantic has never been this hot before in May.
A severe marine heatwave has developed across much of the Tropical Atlantic and Caribbean, with water temperatures up to 5-7°F above normal in some areas.
Water temperatures in the Caribbean have already exceeded peak hurricane season levels (mid-September). This will have significant implications for marine life and hurricane season.
Only 4 nations in the @OECD have higher infant mortality rates than the USA: Costa Rica, Turkey, Mexico and Colombia.
34 nations have baby death rates lower than the USA -- in some cases more than 3-times lower.
Shame on us.
Yes, breaks our hearts too. And it’s why we do place-based #water studies that tackle far more than sampling in our HS science program. The scope of these issues is enormous and touches every community.
Oh look! 👀👀
This just dropped in @TheAtlantic by Jonathan Haidt with very similar points and lots of data that Catherine references: https://t.co/kgYj959AFz
