Choosing Independent Pursuit for your family's education is so important.
"...if they believe mankind was created in the image of God, they will conclude that men by their nature have “certain unalienable rights,” as one great man put it. Such a belief would spark curiosity and wonder at our world which was created intelligibly by a divine being. They will, from a study of medicine, linguistics, mathematics, and history, have a sense of awe and wonder at the universe..."
Many have lost their sense of certainty and wonder.
Government funding of education is entanglement. That word matters. @ALEXNEWMAN_JOU put it to Florida's gubernatorial candidates directly; both affirmed that parental rights are God-given, not state-granted.
The distinction is not semantic.
🚨 At @FPEAHomeschool’s Governor’s Forum, I asked @Paul_Renner and @rachelforgov a simple question:
Will you stand against unconstitutional federal overreach and defend the God-given rights of parents to direct the education of their children?
Here's what they said 👇
I'm prepping for parent practicum as I prepare not only to teach my daughter but to also lead a 7th grade seminar. Education independence has afforded me this opportunity to learn and grow while continuing to be an asset to my homeschool community.

1,000 UC professors to the Board of Regents: "Failing to measure preparation gaps does not remove barriers; it moves them into the classroom." The experts are catching up. Independent families opted out of this experiment years ago.
More than 1,100 University of California math and science professors are urging UC regents to reinstate college-entrance exams, saying that unprepared students are lowering academic standards and draining teaching resources. https://t.co/gv728s5979
New peer-reviewed research from NHERI finds homeschool students scoring at the 75th to 79th percentile in reading, language, math, social studies, and science; EVEN when researchers accounted for family income and race.
62% of studies in this systematic review showed a positive academic effect for homeschoolers. Four showed no difference. One favored conventional schooling.
The data has been consistent for decades.
Definition of the Day:
A school that is wholly financed by private funds from private organizations or individuals and is not subject to government regulation or oversight. A private school is no longer private if it enrolls students receiving publicly funded school choice accounts.
@tpusaeducation@TJSumpter Independent Parents💥
God trusts parents with their children and so should we; therefore, we affirm that parental rights come from God and should be protected from the state.
“God gave you these kids, and that means you were made to train these kids up.” @TJSumpter
Parents are called to lead the next generation in truth, and many are rising to the challenge by choosing Christ-centered education.
'What has this “greater good” actually delivered for children? The issue isn’t which government program delivers the education, but that government is delivering it at all. Public schools and ESAs are two doors into the same system. Both operate on the premise that the state—not parents—bears primary responsibility for children’s education. Both use redistributed tax dollars. Both come with strings attached to the government via public ownership. Both are systemically flawed.'

Stop calling them public schools.
They aren’t open to the public and they aren’t accountable to the public.
They are run by the government, regulated by the government, funded by the government, and compelled by the government.
They are government schools.
Yep! "By capturing education, governments discourage its citizens from wrestling with ideas that contradict their narrative. This destroys the freedom of citizens to learn, dissent, and debate ideas, creating the perfect cycle of intellectual slavery."
@libsoftiktok "One generation labors so that the next may add a layer and widen the horizon of freedom... his grandchildren could inherit flourishing."
The shaping of attitudes, behaviors, and social values is the mission of the family.
"At the family level, we are shaping humans. At the community level, we are building... culture itself."
America has a reading crisis: only 31% of 4th graders read proficiently. While reading scores stagnate and achievement gaps widen, teachers' unions continue prioritizing political activism over academic achievement.
@TheRobertBshow It is a false sense of independence that is self-gratifying NOT kingdom-propogating.
From the worldview you describe, why even seek independent ideas? Wrestling with truth isn't always profitable =>$$.
We have redefined the good life as the life without dependents.
No children. No aging parents.
No inconvenient obligations.
Augustine had a word for this: disordered love.
We are loving lesser things as though they were greater.
Though everyone doesn't grow up in a household with their mother and father (biological or adopted), the nuclear family is the best environment for child rearing.
No child should be intentionally deprived of a mother or a father to satisfy LGBTQ+ cultism.
