@helenjwc @Maternellenum @petitegraine255 You could also have a listen to this podcast I recorded with @AndyBurtEEX at early excellence 2 years ago. I no longer work at the school mentioned but I believe they have continued with the work I started there on early maths https://t.co/5wcy9bI8pP
@Maternellenum @petitegraine255 There are some gorgeous real life examples of these types of games being used in @helenjwc book Playful Mathematics - really recommend it for inspiration!
@Maternellenum @petitegraine255 So the set up today was for teachers of 4 & 5 year olds to explore. Using this with children I would instruct them first on how they could use items and then introduce some of the resources for further free exploration in the classroom or games in small groups.
We have an exciting opportunity to become our new Deputy Head and help lead the future of the school. You can find out more here:

#nursery child excitedly comes in from the garden.
He finds an adult.
Child: “Look what I’ve found, I’ve found a ladybug.”
Adult: “Ooh, how many spots does it have?”
Child: “All of them!”
Joy!
