@_AndyMcHugh I recently worked this out. I currently average about a 55 hour week. So would need about 30% less stuff to make it balance. But less teaching means less planning marking etc. I guessed about 20% more PPA would make things balance. That means 20% more teachers, but where from?

It seems to me that instead of increasing interest rates, they should cut the interest rates, reducing the upward pressure on wage demands and open our borders to foreign workers, increasing the supply of workers.

The real issue is lack of workforce.

Don't use @Zoom, customer service is appalling. I tried to cancel before the end of my subscription, but they claim they have no record of my cancellation. They still charged £119.90, I complained the same day and asked for a refund and they refused. Don't use them it's a scam!

These providers trained nearly 30% of trainees in the South West, North East, and East of England.

A loss of ITT provision may worsen existing problems in these regions, as teachers don't usually travel far from where they train.
