Around Seven States in Seven Days. #EasternRoadTrip
Road trip across the East has been on my to do list for very long time but the opportunity never presented itself, but few weeks back it finally did. I left Enugu with my friend prince on Friday 29 April for #EastenRoadTrip.
Let’s make Nnamdi Emeh trend!
Let’s bring attention to his case!
He is an only child of his parents, he has been in jail for years because he exposed a deadly police organ-harvesting ring in Nigeria.

Na so this uselêss driver almost kpai us at Ugwu Onyeama on Friday. Some drivers are legit lunãtics I swear. On my way to Asaba on Friday, I boarded a vehicle from Holy Ghost, Enugu going to Onitsha. At Ugwu Onyeama of all places, this driver tried to overtake a trailer, this very long gwongwolo. And the worst part was that another trailer was coming from the front, and it was very close.
You actually have to be dumb and suicidâl to think you can overtake that kind of trailer, even if na jet you dey drive.
All the vehicles were already using one lane, and this fóólish man wanted to waste our lives. Before we even understood what was happening, we were already in between the two trailers. And even though the trailer drivers saw the stupidity of our driver and tried their best not to crush us, the side mirror of our car still broke, just to show you how there was literally no space left between us and those trailers. Imagine if they shifted their steering even a little bit toward us, or if the other drivers had not tried to move aside, both of them would have squished our vehicle.
Mehn, it was crazy.
And right after that one, he did it again at 9th Mile after the flyover. It was like the man was just ready to die.
Everyone in the vehicle was furious.
When we got to Awka, the man packed right in the middle of the road and started arguing with one of the passengers in front. Funny enough, the passenger was actually at fault for not dropping where the driver already stopped, but because everyone was already angry at the driver, nobody even wanted to hear anything he had to say again.
"He wants to be dropped inside his bedroom? Carry him there and drop him na!"
It wasn’t a small journey at all.
But at the end of the day, we still reached our destinations in good health.
Enugu has become one of the most exciting event destinations in Nigeria, and honestly, it’s not hard to see why.
The vibe is different here.
The city blends urban class with calm, creative energy. It’s clean, it’s cultural, it’s accessible, and it has a growing lifestyle scene backed by smart, young, forward-moving people. Enugu is one of those cities where ideas feel alive, where festivals, concerts, exhibitions, and hangouts don’t just happen, they connect.
That’s why the South East Food & Fashion Festival fits perfectly here.
This festival is more than a social event, it’s a showcase of identity, culture, and emerging talent. It’s where food meets style, tradition meets modern flair, and creativity meets commerce.
Why should you attend?
To experience authentic South East flavours in one place
To discover and support designers, creators, and brands from home
To network with the right kind of people, trend-shapers and idea-builders
To be part of the movement that is shaping the new South East lifestyle economy
If Enugu is rising as a premium destination for events, then South East Food & Fashion Festival is one of the moments that is making that rise undeniable.
Come. Experience it.
Don’t just hear about it later.
