@therussmann@ChristaHazel When I first spoke at the library meeting in Oct '21, they were primarily focused on LGBTQ content and meetings. Recently using lies & emotional appeal with porn. One of my comments was that historically book banners are never the good guys. It fell on deaf ears, obviously.
@save_nic While Baducci is vile and has assaulted staff at NIC, that does NOT make it right to do the same. This only gives fodder to him & his cronies to act like victims when that couldn't be further from the truth.
@ChristaHazel This is from the same people who say women need to be pregnant and at home with the kids. No logic here. Just changing to fit their narrative.
@ChristaHazel Her letter outraged them because it exposed them as frauds. He claims that he is running for his grandkids, which is a lie. He is estranged from her 4, and those are the only ones that live in the library district. The truth hurts.
@jpond@IdahoTribune There are also liberals and those who don't subscribe to a political party who pay taxes in ID. I don't want to restrict any books & could care less if they read the Bible. It's only a book and is actually in the library now. Again, parent your OWN child.
@IDFreedom2 They use the mental health angle but forget that the Trump Administration removed mental health restrictions for gun purchases. Many states like TX & ID also made it much easier to get and carry guns. Plus, they refuse to pass legislation to address mental health. #hypocrites
@kelli_vale83837 @SLHanley_author@IdahoTribune Kelli, what happened to conservatives who screamed about government/institutional overreach? Now they want to decide what everyone can read? These aren't real conservatives, they are Christian Fascists. #righttoread
@IdahoTribune Where does the censorship end? The library is supposed to be inclusive for all ideas, not just a select few. This is all manufactured rage to keep everyone fighting and dismiss real issues like housing costs in Idaho. Idaho has real issues. The library isn't even on the list.
@IdahoTribune When this law is challenged, then a likely defense argument in favor of this display is that you don't have to view it or read it. So, in that spirit, i say the same. I don't view these books as porn. If you do, just don't look at them or let your kids get them. Parent your kids!
@IdahoTribune Here is the opposite side of your argument. In TX right now, they passed a bill to put the 10 Commandments to be on display in every school classroom. If (more like when) this makes it into law and is challenged, then it will likely go to SCOTUS. 1/2
@save_nic@NorthIdaho I think based on this and how he cut off Banducci's rant that he may be realizing they are in real trouble and culpability could be coming for them. I hope he breaks from Waggoner and the Douche.
@save_nic Or....kids from small isolated areas go to college and are exposed to new ways of looking at issues and learn critical thinking and realize their far right parents are full of 💩. Also doesn't Matt live in WA state?
@RogueLou18@alexstein99 Your name Twitter handle is correct. You are a 🎪 and you bring clowns. For many kids in Idaho, access to the library is essential. People like him don't know how our CLN in Idaho works. It's all a joke, he isn't a resident, so he shouldn't be speaking on behalf of residents.
