It was a pleasure to meet @UNESCO_DG and @UNESCO colleagues and member states to build stronger education foundations and better serve children in crisis through @EduCannotWait
A very productive meeting with the Director of @EduCannotWait, @MaysaJalbout — one of @UNESCO’s key partners in keeping education at the heart of emergency response and recovery.
UNESCO and Education Cannot Wait have built a strong partnership to keep learning going in crisis-affected contexts: supporting teachers, expanding access to quality learning for refugees, displaced learners and host communities, strengthening local capacities, and improving the data systems needed for effective response and recovery.
Together, we will continue to advocate for education in emergencies and ambitious pledges for ECW's replenishment, as an investment in protection, resilience, social cohesion and sustainable peace.
