Year 4 have had a great start to #UKParliamentWeek they enjoyed an engaging assembly from Malcolm and enjoyed deciding on and scrutinising their own laws 📝
This week we had a visit from UK Parliament, who delivered an assembly to our KS2 pupils. The assembly explained what Parliament is and the children even had a go at debating a law as though they were in the House of Commons.

Malcolm Smith from the UK Parliament Outreach Team recently attended our Lincoln College campus to deliver three interactive sessions on democracy and the UK Parliament.
Students were buzzing with questions and eager to learn more - thank you again, Malcolm! 🎓✨
#ctkcardiffy5 Thanks to Patrick from @UKParliament who taught us about The House of Lords and Commons today. We also thought about the process of passing a law and had the opportunity to choose our own law and give reasons why!
Thank you Wick High! You made me feel very welcome!
“It was invaluable for pupils in the far north of Scotland to know that they matter to UK Parliament” - Mr Tillier ( Modern Studies teacher- Wick High School) #ukpw2024@WickHigh
It’s wonderful when you get to a location during UK Parliament Week and the group lead is already talking about it ! Tutor Mercedes introduced the special week before I arrived 😄 #ukpw#ukpw2024@UKParlEducation
Outreach in the community: the great thing about our team is that we go to where the groups meet. Today I’ve been in Wigston Library talking to ESOL learners for UK Parliament Week.
