Groundworks well underway at the @DeanesSchool. Site stripped + cut and fill complete for a 97 x 61m artificial pitch. Next is drainage. PST is immensely proud to be leading this project & delighted to be part of this transformative development for the school's sports facilities.

Last week we had our first ever Peer Review across all five schools in our trust focused on SEND. There isn’t a prototype for this so we created it!

SEEAT have been shortlisted for a national award for the second year running: the MAT of the Year Award @NSchoolsAwards.

We are not a large trust but we regularly ‘punch above our weight’ and just to be shortlisted is a privilege.

The winner will be announced on 7th December.

Building schools for the future programme to be restarted and renamed Propping Up Crumbling Schools for the foreseeable future

All revenue costs associated with RAAC have to be paid for by schools. They are now funding decades of capital under investment in schools by central government. So much for support

It’s not just RAAC that is the problems in schools. Lots of schools can’t even get to inspect ceilings as there is asbestos in the void space. There is lots of asbestos being managed in schools as no money to remove it. The school estate needs proper funding from @educationgovuk

Also no contingency planning by @educationgovuk . Having now given the problem back to schools/trusts to fix they don’t have list of recommended contractors people can use. No arrangements from suppliers of temporary buildings. I dont know why I am even surprised by this.

Teachers lose 1/365th of their salary on strike days. They could strike every school day of the year and still get half their pay! Half your pay never to teach sounds like a cunning plan
