Press Release: Statement on Line of Duty Death of OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali
It is with great sadness that we inform our Membership that OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali, Dufferin County Detachment, Central Region died in the line of duty today while working with the James Bay Detachment, North East Region.
The circumstances related to the line of duty death are under investigation by the OPPโs Criminal Investigation Branch.
Our thoughts are with the Memberโs family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time.
OPP Association President David Sabatini stated โThis is every police and family memberโs worst nightmare. This is another reminder of the dangers that our Members face each and every day as they serve and protect the citizens of Ontario. On behalf of the OPP Association, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Provincial Constable Baliโs family, friends and colleagues. We will steadfastly support PC Baliโs family and co-workers.โ
