MUST WATCH: Back in 2010, while representing Sahara Reporters at a packaged Rivers State Investment Forum at Columbia University in New York, I confronted the then Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru, about the massive corruption being carried out by Nyesom Ezenwo Wike @GovWike, who was serving as then Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s Chief of Staff at the time.
Instead of addressing the facts, Tele Ikuru leapt to @GovWike defense, dismissing Sahara Reporters as nothing more than a part of a “clique' hunting Rivers State political thieves. Yet the truth was already evident, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike @GovWike had been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission @officialEFCC (Yes, the same @EFCC that today is blind to massive corruption and money laundering by @GovWike ), but with the help of a compromised judiciary at the Court of Appeal in a deal arranged by a former Governor of Bayelsa State, he escaped accountability.
Today, the same Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has transformed into the greatest monstrous thief to ever emerge from Rivers State and one of the worst in Nigeria’s history.
