No skill has wasted young people’s lives like football and music. These two skills/talents can give false hope; especially when you know you’re good at it. You can chase it your whole life and become nothing. Not everyone will become a Wizkid, Davido, Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, or Jay-Jay Okocha.

Then, when you’re in your late 30s, you’d realize time has passed and find it hard to retrace, or reinvent yourself.

These two skills shouldn’t be chased alone. It’s best handled as a side hustle. Should only become your main hustle after you’ve succeeded in it and gotten to the big stage. Don’t waste your life chasing uncertainties only, find a lot of things you can get your hands on to survive. Remember, a jack of all trades make you master of none, but often better than master of one.

Out of every 1,000 skilled footballer/musician, not up to 100 will blow up, and I’m not trying to sound negative here, it’s reality.

Have something that sorts the bills while you push that skill on the side. If you get the big stage, it’s a win, if you don’t, you’d still be able to navigate life, not as a loser too.
