The UK-headquartered @EBRD has been the largest institutional investor in Ukraine over the last 30 years.
It was great to introduce the Government’s motion to increase our contribution to the Bank and help it leverage tens of billions of pounds to fund Ukraine’s reconstruction.
One of our favourite moments from the first half of this year! When Hungarian author Attila Bartis and translator Judith Sollosy heard from EBRD President @odilerenaud that The End published by @archipelagobks had won the #EBRDLiteraturePrize2024!
Congratulations to Hungarian novelist Attila Bartis and his translator Judith Sollosy who just won the EBRD Literature Prize 2024 for THE END!

Our shareholders have approved a resolution to increase @EBRD’s paid-in capital by €4 billion, bringing our capital base to €34 billion.
The increase will enable us to deliver more and become an even stronger Bank – a stronger Bank for Ukraine, for all our economies & clients.
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development shareholders have agreed a €4bn capital increase that will allow it to double lending to Ukraine https://t.co/7QSX2BaJxb
A year ago I told @ZelenskyyUa that @EBRD would commit up to €3 billion for #Ukraine over 2022-2023.
Today I can report that we have hit that target.
We will continue to be a steadfast partner to the country and its economy.
Thank you to our partners, donors and colleagues!
