The Manx Motor Cycle Club are devastated to learn of the tragic loss of Daniel Ingham following an incident during qualifying for the 2026 Isle of Man TT races yesterday evening. Dan was 33 years old.
Dan was not only the winner of the 2024 Senior Manx Grand Prix, but a rider who had become a huge part of the Manx Grand Prix family over many years competing on the Mountain Course. He was one of our own.
Since first making his Mountain Course debut at the Manx Grand Prix in 2016, Dan earned enormous respect throughout the paddock for his determination, professionalism and love of road racing.
To win the Senior Manx Grand Prix is the dream of every rider who competes at the Manx Grand Prix and in 2024 Dan achieved that dream with a commanding and memorable victory in the most prestigious race of the event. Everyone connected with the Manx Grand Prix was immensely proud to see him progress to the Isle of Man TT in 2026 after many years of dedication, determination and commitment to the sport he loved.
Dan was admired not only for his talent on track, but also for the person he was away from racing, friendly, humble and deeply respected by competitors, officials, marshals and supporters alike. His loss will be felt across the entire road racing community and especially amongst all those connected with the Manx Grand Prix.
Our heartfelt condolences go to Dan’s wife Helayna, his children Joey and Phoebe, his wider family, friends, team and all who knew and loved him at this incredibly difficult time.
The thoughts of everyone at the Manx Motor Cycle Club and the Manx Grand Prix are with Dan’s family and friends.
Dan Ingham will always remain a valued part of the Manx Grand Prix family and he will never be forgotten.
