@SoeMarrah JFK’s contempt detention is the lowest I’ve seen or witnessed the judiciary has ever faced since the passing into law of the 1991 Constitution of Salone. What a bad precedent set, they’ve simply emboldened @JFKSalone for higher heights. I can’t wait to see how would he fight back
🇸🇱 Happy 73rd Birthday to H.E. Ernest Bai Koroma, Former President of Sierra Leone. Today, we celebrate a life of leadership, service & continued contribution to Africa.

I thought I could take a short break from Sierra Leone, only to find myself in Tampa, Florida,a place that kept reminding me of what Sierra Leone could be if we were not so busy consolidating power instead of investing in the development of our country.
But I took some comfort in the thought that perhaps we have discovered something uniquely Sierra Leonean to attract tourists: constitutional tourism.
After all, we may just have pioneered a new method of constitutional amendment—one where the Speaker interprets the Constitution, declares a Bill passed on the strength of that interpretation, insists that his ruling is final, and then refers the very constitutional question underlying that interpretation to the Supreme Court, not to determine what has already been done, apparently, but to “guide future discussions.”
And somewhere along the way, citizens and civil society who went to Parliament to observe in high hopes and expectations of a historic exercise are asked out of the Chamber.
Only in our constitutional reform story will you find such a perfect cocktail for a constitutional crisis.
Bio is gonna empty the country’s reserves and leave Sierra Leoneans with a cumulative internal and external debts of $4 billion dollars. The hosting of an ECOWAS conference is of no significance to the country and people of Sierra Leone. This is an utterly disgraceful waste of public funds.
You know what’s sickening about @David? This dude is false, what’s special about the view shown that’ll attract tourists from the whole world to come here when David’s government can’t even deliver for south easterners and their party supporters 😂🤣 President Bio and his boys including David campaigned about constructing the Lungi bridge and they’ve got less than 2yrs to go, and there are no signs of a bridge connecting #Freetown and Lungi Airport 😂🤣 Em guys ya just too lie and false.
Those who aspire to become President of Sierra Leone, are either exceptionally brave or dangerously untroubled by the enormity of the burden. Because anyone who truly understands the weight and genuinely desires to improve the lives of ordinary people, ought to approach the office with a certain degree of fear and trepidation, not vanity and comfort.
To govern a country burdened by poverty, unemployment, weak institutions, concerns about the rule of law, and the growing drug menace, is the kind of responsibility that should rob a leader of sleep.
Our beloved Sierra Leone does not need leadership that treats governance as entertainment or celebrity culture. It needs leadership capable of feeling the weight of the nation every single day, because the weight is simply too heavy to carry lightly.
For Sierra Leone’s sake, one can only hope those who seek to lead truly understand the burden they are asking to carry.
Lord God, let #SierraLeone return to a place of competent and experienced leadership where grown ups, normal mature, and seriously educated professionals will lead from the front. What the country has seen during these 8yrs of the Bio led administration is unimaginably pathetic.
🚨 Liverpool to allow Mohamed Salah to leave on a FREE transfer despite having a contract at the club valid until June 2027.
#LFC accept Salah’s desire to try new chapter in his career after making history at Anfield. 🫱🏻🫲🏼
Mohamed Salah will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, the English club said, after nine years at Anfield in which he has established himself as one of its greatest-ever players. https://t.co/sFFc1M5rI2
