27 years. Knicks fans have waited for this moment. Back in the NBA Finals.
The excitement is in the air, Knicks colors have taken over New York – let’s go Knicks!
This blatant power-grab by Albany Democrats should be rejected by New Yorkers.
Assembly Republicans will be a loud and vocal opponent to this redistricting disaster today, tomorrow and next year to ensure we defeat this at the ballot box.
Happy to report that two of my amendments to crack down on cruel animal testing advanced out of the @RulesReps last night.
These amendments would stop taxpayer dollars from being used to require testing on dogs through the @US_FDA and prohibit @USDA funding for painful research on dogs and cats. We should be using modern, humane alternatives—not forcing animals to suffer at taxpayers’ expense. I thank my fellow New Yorker @RepLangworthy for his advocacy in the committee and look forward to its consideration by the entire House.
Democrats’ FOURTH attempt at mid-decade redistricting is a brazen maneuver to elect more Democrats. Nothing more.
Their proposals shred voter-approved laws & the state Constitution, dismantling any semblance of independence & neutrality.
We will fight this every step of the way.
Breaking- NYS legislative leaders introduce redistricting amendment (S.10637/A11553); eliminates ban on partisan gerrymandering, allows mid-decade redistricting, gives legislature power to draw maps if commission fails after one round, more @RedistrictNet
NY’s $268 billion budget is done. 57 Days late. $14 billion more than last year.
A process defined by Democrats’ dysfunction & runaway spending.
The @NYS_AM secured hard-fought victories & remain focused on solving problems.
But Albany’s budget process is fundamentally broken – spending too much, solving too little.

🚨Republican Primary Voting begins on June 13th, through Election Day on June 23rd! I am proud to be endorsed by my Republican colleagues in the State Assembly both within and surrounding Senate District 51 as well as our Republican Leader, @EdwardRa19.
I will never stop fighting for upstate New York and our values! #TeamTague #VOTE
There are reasons New York has redistricting rules in place.
And an independent commission. And a State Constitution.
To prevent Democrats from doing EXACTLY what they’re about to do.
Deputy Sen. Majority Leader @SenGianaris says we may no longer be looking at multiple redistricting amendments— tells us to stay tuned as to what is in—and what if anything is out—under that arrangement expected to hit the floor later this week
It was a beautiful day to march in the Israel Day Parade in New York City. I was proud to join thousands of people in celebrating Israel’s rich culture, heritage, and the strong relationship between the United States and Israel. The energy throughout the city was incredible, and it was wonderful to see so many people come together in a spirit of unity and friendship.
A criminal with 41 priors shoves a man onto the subway tracks, leaving the victim with a brain bleed & multiple injuries.
He’s arrested for felony assault, but immediately set free on supervised release.
Is it any wonder why subway crime isn’t going away?

Once again, a New York court correctly rules against the blatant partisanship of Democrats on the PCFB.
Another victory for Bruce Blakeman. And a decisive loss for the political interests trying to corrupt an independent program.

Being nearly two months late might imply time was spent carefully crafting a budget that changes the trajectory of NY.
But that’s wrong.
Runaway spending has never translated into an improved quality of life. That’s not going to change.
New York lawmakers finally finished passing a budget that softens the state’s climate goals, limits local police from cooperating w/ federal immigration authorities and sprinkles cash to schools, hospitals and cities across the state.
Eight weeks late.

After 57 days of dysfunction, New York has a $268 billion state budget, $14 billion more than last year, filled with misplaced priorities and runaway spending.
Albany’s been down this road before with reckless sanctuary policies, it was a mistake then and it is a mistake now.
@NYS_AM is focused on plan with public safety, fiscal responsibility & accountability in mind.

After years of Republican warnings that NY’s misguided energy approach would hurt affordability & reliability, rollbacks to energy mandates will be part of the final budget
It’s an important step, but more needs to be done than moving dates on a calendar

The Nassau County PBA sends its heartfelt condolences to the Nassau County Sheriffs Department and COBA on the loss of Corrections Officer Dylan Hussey. Please keep his family and co-workers in your prayers.
As if the partisanship of four Democratic PCFB commissioners wasn’t obvious enough, their decision to appeal a judge’s ruling against them case cements it.
As the Times Union correctly asks: “Haven’t you been embarrassed enough?”

Today, NY Democrats doubled down on sanctuary policies that failed miserably & cost taxpayers billions.
This reckless policy making isn’t the solution & it’s why Assembly Republicans have proposed a plan built with safety & fiscal responsibility in mind.
