Globally experienced airline pilot—sharing my conservative views without riling up liberal friends who feel that free speech is OK only if you agree with them
I think I found the true measure of #ClimateAlarmism—the canary in the mineshaft.
Diego Garcia
A tiny atoll with important strategic assets for the US military (bombers, Intelligence, telecommunications, fuel, etc). It's remote, and logistically easy to protect. Hard to replace.
It's also 2 m above sea level.
With the hysteria whipped up by #ClimateAlarmists about rising sea levels, DG is as vulnerable as any location. It certainly should be the first to go underwater. There's no escape. No retreating to higher ground.
It would take YEARS of planning—and funding—to relocate the military assets to a suitable location before it goes underwater. Years.
If global flooding is on the near horizon, shouldn't the planning and funding be happening now?
Unless—unless it's all a #ClimateHoax
Pay attention to DG. That's where the true measure of how real sea rise is.
@DaleCloudyman @EcoSenseNow
@CaptStuff@GuntherEagleman This is too easy…
You're all over the place. First it was a dual engine failure with "seconds to return" now to a "soft field landing attempt"?
Tell you what Captain ATP, let's let the accident report tell us what happened, K? Respect to the crew who lost their lives.
@CaptStuff@GuntherEagleman Looks like your source is yourself?
If indeed you are a pilot, you are not demonstrating good training knowledge. Dual engine failure on take off with "seconds to turn back to the runway" shows lack of serious knowledge
@CaptStuff@GuntherEagleman Please post the assertion it was a dual engine failure. Sounds like they experienced an engine failure and returned OEI.
I might have the wrong information, so please correct it if so.
@mitchellvii I could not stop watching this.
The guy in the front absolutely had the right to recline. Looks like there was plenty of room to come back a bit
