@slavamanzhin I usually do edits with purpose: after draft 1, I do a storyboard edit (whole revision). Send it out for only VERY close friends/family to read for general edits. Encorporate them, then my copy edit, have a pro look it over, etc. Basically, 1 edit = 1 read-thru for feedback.
The authors who inspire you most have bad writing days too.
Days where they want to throw every word in the garbage. Or they just can't write at all.
You just never hear about them.
A writing career looks effortless from the outside, but the reality is anything but.
So the next time you are being hard on yourself for struggling, remember it's not a sign you're doing anything wrong.
In fact, it might be the clearest sign you ARE indeed a writer.
