Many people celebrate consistency until it becomes visible.
Someone starts doing something they genuinely enjoy.
Posting, teaching, creating, sharing ideas.
At first, nobody notices.
Then a few people discover it, they like it, they share it.
Suddenly, the same thing the person has been doing quietly for months starts going viral.
More people follow. More people watch. More people engage.
Nothing about the activity changed. Only the size of the audience did.
But something interesting happens next.
The same thing that made the person popular starts attracting a different kind of reaction.
“Why is he always doing this?”
“She’s doing too much.”
“This is becoming too frequent.”
Yet the person never actually changed the routine.
They are still doing exactly what people loved in the beginning.
The difference is simple, When only 50 people see something, it feels refreshing.
When 50,000 people see the same thing repeatedly, it suddenly feels excessive.
Popularity changes perception.
What once looked like passion starts looking like attention seeking to some people.
But the truth many creators, professionals, and builders eventually learn is this;
If the same consistency made you visible,
don’t abandon it because visibility attracted criticism.
Sometimes the work didn’t become
too much.
It simply became too noticeable.
And the people who keep going anyway
are usually the ones who were never performing for approval in the first place.
