Lo que ves aquí abajo es una pieza histórica: El primer video musical de salsa realizado íntegramente en animación. Se trata de ‘𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮’, un cortometraje en 35 mm producido en México durante el verano de 1983, hace más de 40 años, por la productora Animación Boricua, bajo la dirección de Abdías Manuel y Paco López Mújica. Inspirado en la letra escrita por Rubén Blades, el corto recrea con color y humor la historia de una joven de clase alta que se enamora de un trompetista de barrio, tal como narra la popular canción.

Su original propuesta visual, inusual para la época dentro del género de la salsa, y el modo en que logró trasladar la narrativa musical al lenguaje cinematográfico llamaron la atención de la crítica internacional. Gracias a ello, ‘𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗮 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮’ obtuvo el premio a ‘Mejor Cortometraje’ en el Festival de Cine de Río de Janeiro de 1984, uno de los certámenes más prestigiosos de Brasil y América Latina. Este reconocimiento no solo destacó la calidad artística del trabajo, sino que también marcó un precedente en la manera de representar la música latina en el audiovisual.

🇺🇸 Washington, Estados Unidos | Un niño de 12 años que se enfrentó a su escuela por la inclusión de un libro sobre cambio de género fue recibido por el presidente Donald Trump en el Museo de la Biblia. El menor relató que, aunque sabía que el contenido no era correcto según su fe, temía meterse en problemas.

Tras la intervención de su familia, denunció que la escuela los trató mal y que él y su hermano fueron objeto de bullying por mantener sus creencias cristianas. Durante el encuentro, el niño reafirmó su fe: “He sido cristiano toda mi vida, y Jesús significa todo para mí”.

On the eve of President Russell M. Nelson’s 101st birthday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released a photo of the prophet taken in his office on Sunday, September 7, 2025.

The leader of the worldwide Church enjoyed a pre-birthday celebration Sunday with a small gathering of family members at the Church Administration Building in Salt Lake City. His birthday is Tuesday, September 9.

In a TIME magazine op-ed authored by President Nelson, he said his “birthday wish for all of us” is to embrace eternal truths that “we are happiest when we remember our divine worth and extend that recognition to others — beginning with our own families.”
