Yesterday, the @meaca_ug , Uganda, honored Rt. Hon. Eriya Kategaya at an event held at @SkyzHotel , He was a man who taught us that one can be ambitious without being unkind, and powerful without being proud.
Rt. Hon. @RebeccaKadagaUG reminded us that his life was leadership worth emulating: intellectual depth without pride, power without cruelty, patriotism without noise.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of EAC Affairs further noted that Kategaya’s vision laid the foundation for Uganda’s role in regional integration, securing our place in the Customs Union, the Common Market, and the future Political Federation.
May his soul rest in peace, and may we carry forward his example in our work and service. @KagutaMuseveni@jumuiya

The Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town Is A Disgrace!
The Table Bay Hotel, part of Sun International sells itself as unrivaled 5* Hotel in Cape Town. Its location & past History maybe 5* but everything else is 1*.
At its entrance are about 6 porters who spent most of the time gossiping! In any 5* Hotel, when you arrive, the Porters open the car dropping you & take your luggage. In The Table Bay Hotel, you open your own door & remove your luggage.
Inside, no one welcomes you & there is no welcome drink. Every 5*Hotel will receive you with a warm or cold face/hand towel & give you a glass of any drink. Not in The Table Bay Hotel.
Some days, i returned to my room & it hadn’t been cleaned. Every 5*Hotel, house-keeping is throughout the day. In Savoy London, every time you step out of your room, someone goes in to fix the room. Not in The Table Bay Hotel.
For breakfast, quests queue to be sat as in every hotel. The waiters will never say Good Morning. I never heard them even once saying Good Morning to any guest. They just ask your room & how many you are & they get you a table. In more than three occasions, I saw old people on wheelchair being made to wait like all guests to be sat. Every institution gives priority to women with small children, the elderly & people with disability. At The Table Bay Hotel, all queue irrespective of special needs.
In every 5* Hotel, the General Manager is always available. I asked nearly four times to see the GM & he was not in.
The Table Bay Hotel is a unique property in the best location in Cape Town but its entire human service structure is collapsed from the GM to the potters at the entrance. The employees don’t love their work. There is lethargy, gossip & laziness by all employees. A Hotel is 5* because of its facilities but above all, its service.
The Table Bay Hotel should learn how service is from such very busy restaurants like Mozambik or Tiger’s Milk!
Sun International should overhaul The Table Bay Hotel 100%. It is the worst 5* Hotel in the world.
I have for long avoided responding to the Deputy President's tribal diatribe, but today's activities leave me no choice.
As elected leaders, we have a responsibility to our people to protect and provide them with opportunities to make something out of themselves.
Just over a year ago, in June 2023, 52 traders, selling goods on a road reserve, were killed in Londiani, Kericho County, when a truck driver lost control and ploughed into them. Thirty of them sustained life-changing injuries. These people cannot come back to life. I have a duty and mandate that will not let me fall for populist political gimmicks at the expense of the lives and safety of Nairobians.
This morning, in a misinformed tribal diatribe, and while speaking in vernacular in the heart of our nation’s capital, you have chosen to use falsehoods to incite traders against the measures we are taking.
To Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua I say: If only you had taken your phone and called me as I had suggested, you would have learnt a few things:
https://t.co/HPwZ4MC3Da government has no plan to relocate the Marikiti Market. Selected produce will be delivered wholesale to the other markets we have built using taxpayers' money. What we will not allow are traders endangering their lives by selling their wares on the roadside. They will move to Kangundo Road Market. However, if you have sufficient space outside your office on Harambee Avenue, I am sure they will be happy to display their wares and ply their trade in that safe environment.
There will be order in this major artery into the city. The people of Nairobi and the leadership of the market support this move fully.
https://t.co/TitI4zdmjc have asked that consultations with the affected traders be held. My government has continuously engaged our people and I personally met the leadership of Wakulima/Marikiti Market last week. We agreed on these and other measures that will ease congestion in the market and improve the safety and welfare of our traders and citizens. We will not allow you to take us back.
A leader of your calibre should provide informed solutions and not stoke tribal disunity in our country. Nairobi is a cosmopolitan global hub that will operate in an orderly manner. I can assure you of that. I know you are dealing with other weighty and impending political issues.
Keep the people of Nairobi out of it.
The Globalists main objective is to exterminate cows and livestock farming in the name of climate change!
That is why president Ruto plans to start vaccinating cows…!
‘YOU WILL OWN NOTHING AND BE HAPPY’!!!
