Was an honor to interview @RamsNFL PT & athletic trainer Dr. @JonHernandezDPT
AT/PT students/aspiring NFL employees should listen on repeat:
*his path
*How to do it
*NFL life
*a charity worth getting behind

@APTAtweets Recursos en español! Ya tenemos una pagina de web dedicada a los recursos de APTA traducidos al español https://t.co/A4gUuBm1Wm
Resources in Spanish! We now have a web page dedicated to APTA resources translated in Spanish @gustavokmtz@WendyPadillah@theyisuspalza
@Retlouping@SquatUniversity@MarkMilliganDPT Is this a treatment population and goal-based discrepancy in philosophy? Surely not every patient needs low back stretching AND stretching a back isn't a detrimental treatment option.
> 50% of patients w/ low back pain who got PT "later" or not at all received an opioid script
~20% if they got PT 1st
But we're notoriously bad at promoting our services
If your closest friend/family member was asked to accurately describe what you do as a PT, could they?
I've been off PT Twitter for a little over a year now but I was perusing again tonight. Noticed a lot of "First Name Last Name, DPT" (I've been using that myself @FBInjuryDoc)
Did we or the APTA finally agree "PT, DPT" is silly and an alphabet soup? What did I miss? TIA
Serious question PT Twitter: Why the PT, DPT? Why not just PT? Why not just DPT? Both are protected. I’ve never seen physician, MD or PA, PA-C. Plz help me to understand.
@MikeMakher initially all I said was let it burn which would be insensitive if people are losing their jobs....so I'll say let it burn to the ground so we can rebuild WHILE lending a hand to those who need it
@EddieErnstPTA @emergen_she IMO save classes/grammar/writing for high school age AFTER they've grasped how to actually have a conversation. Otherwise it's as close to worthless as it gets. Who cares if you can conjugate a verb if you never know how to use it? All my perspective/opinion of course.
@EddieErnstPTA @emergen_she As funny as it sounds my dad would basically bribe us and pay us up to $2-3 every day we would only speak spanish directly to him. This is obviously just one method but the overarching them in my childhood was to have no choice but to be emerged in both worlds.
