The ANC has listened & we have heard. People expect government to work. They expect services to be reliable and affordable, leaders to be accountable and ethical, and municipalities to deliver. We commit to make local government work better for all South Africans.
This is who we do it for, this is why we wake up everyday and fight. Each and everyday we strive, push, persevere, endure, and execute tasks that will ensure the downtrodden, the poorest of the poor, the ones forgotten by society, the homeless, the old and disabled, that they get to enjoy the fruits of our hard fought democracy. Myself and the ANC collective will always strive to achieve our historical mission, which is a BETTER LIFE FOR ALL. This is who we do it for.

SPRING DAY TURNS TO BLOODSHED AS YOUNG MAN DIES IN REFILWE STABBING
What began as a day of Spring Day celebrations, water and excitement ended in tragedy after a young man, identified as Tshepang Nyathi, reportedly died following an alleged stabbing in Refilwe, Cullinan.
According to information circulating on social media, the incident occurred at approximately 16:10 on Tuesday afternoon, while young people were participating in water-play activities associated with Spring Day.
Preliminary reports allege that Nyathi poured water on an older man who was passing through the area and was reportedly not participating in the celebrations.
The situation allegedly escalated, with the man reportedly retaliating by stabbing Nyathi.
Nyathi was reportedly rushed to Refilwe Clinic, where he allegedly succumbed to his injuries.
The tragic incident has left the family mourning and the community questioning how a moment of celebration could escalate into deadly violence.
The incident has also sparked debate over Spring Day water activities, particularly the practice of throwing water at unsuspecting motorists, pedestrians and other members of the public who may not be participating in the celebrations.
While some community members have condemned the alleged stabbing and called for justice, others have raised concerns about the potential dangers of involving unwilling members of the public in water fights.
However, regardless of what may have led to the confrontation, the death of a young man has highlighted the devastating consequences of an altercation that allegedly escalated beyond control.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation. At the time of publication, the identity of the alleged attacker, whether an arrest had been made and what charges may be brought had not been independently confirmed.
The death of Tshepang Nyathi has cast a shadow over what was meant to be a day of celebration, leaving his family and community to mourn a life lost in tragic circumstances.
