Friedberg: New study shows enzyme reverses skin age from 70+ years to 31
Chamath: That’s a $2T market.
Did Scientists Just Discover How to Reverse Skin Aging!?
“CML is kind of the predominant molecule that gets formed in this extracellular matrix that's driving aging, and nothing breaks it down.
So these scientists set out to try and create an enzyme, an enzyme is a protein that breaks something down, that can break down CML.
And so these guys kind of went out and they took the target, which is CML, and tried to figure out, ‘Okay, how do we actually degrade CML, clear that extracellular matrix, and reverse aging?’
They started to test it on the proteins that we would find in our body, casein, collagen, retinal proteins, which are in your eye, hemoglobin, and they were able to get rid of 52 to 97% of the CML, just degrade it away.
And then they found several sites where they were able to degrade over 90%.
And then they took actual human skin from elderly patients that had donated their skin, and they put this enzyme onto that skin, and they were able to eliminate 55% of the CML on the skin, basically reverse the skin's age down to the age of a 31-year-old, this is from greater than 70-year-old patients, just by putting this enzyme on the skin.
And so it's kind of a groundbreaking demonstration of combination of AlphaFold, what's called directed evolution, where you change the order of the DNA that changes the structure of the protein to test different proteins, do high throughput screening, and ultimately make a novel protein that doesn't exist in nature today that can do something pretty profound for human health.”
Chamath:
“It will be a trillion-dollar market. If you can create a cream…”
Friedberg:
“I mean, dude, if you could put this enzyme literally on your skin and have it absorb in…”
Chamath:
“Game over. That alone is $2 trillion.”
Bill Gates visited Elon Musk at the Tesla Giga Texas factory and told him straight up: "It's impossible to have a long-range semi-truck. It doesn't work" Elon replied: "We literally have them. Drive one yourself. Pepsi is using them RIGHT NOW" Gates just kept saying: "No, it doesn't work"
Today, Tesla Semis are hauling cargo 425+ miles for one of the biggest companies on Earth
Imagine being this confidently wrong, refusing to accept reality, and somehow the media still sells him as a "climate expert"! @Tesla@elonmusk
Once we have completed our review for security vulnerabilities, we will make the entire codebase of 𝕏 open source, with no exceptions.
Moreover, we will invite third party reviewers to examine the system that is running to confirm that the open source code is what is running.
Trust through total transparency is the only thing that should be believed.

In this Dutch example, it's navigating around construction vehicles by briefly using the opposite lane, yielding to cyclists and oncoming traffic before merging back
How did this camera survive Starship’s 3,000°C hell?
Starship’s exhaust stretches hundreds of meters, hits temps that melt steel, and unleashes shockwaves that can destroy anything nearby.
Yet this camera kept filming the raw power up close.
The engineering trick?
Sapphire crystal windows + high-pressure nitrogen air curtain + military-grade shock protection + sacrificial mirrors behind blast shields.
Basically, SpaceX built a camera tougher than the rocket’s own fury Mind-blowing.

Our government has known for 79 years.
And they told us nothing.
Objects moving in ways nothing we build can...
Circling the one place on Earth we'd never want them.
This should bother you.

BREAKING: SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell is donating SpaceX stock to Trump Accounts.
• More than 2 million children will receive shares
• Program focuses on kids ages 11–17
• Shotwell said the gift is meant to inspire the next generation “to live and fly amongst the stars”
Cathie Wood just explained why the establishment will never stop coming for Elon Musk.
And the reason is worse than they think.
Wood: “Tesla was an environmental move, which I think a lot of people attacking his cars… they’ve forgotten.”
They didn’t forget. You don’t forget thirty years of marching and petitioning and begging for the machine that saves the planet.
Someone built it. Forced every automaker on Earth to follow.
Then they turned on him the moment he delivered exactly what they asked for.
Not because he failed them. Because he made them unnecessary.
A solved problem is an existential threat to every institution built to solve it. Kills the funding. Kills the committee. Kills every career that exists to manage the crisis rather than end it.
Wood: “I think he’s the Thomas Edison of our age… he wants to do the right thing to transform the lot of most of humanity.”
Edison was hated too. By the people who sold candles. Every revolution looks like an attack to the people it makes obsolete.
Wood: “What we learn about material science and technologies… is going to help us here on Earth as well.”
SpaceX is not an escape. It is a forge. Build under the most brutal conditions in the solar system and every breakthrough comes home.
Most people at his level stop building and start protecting what they have.
Musk picks the hardest unsolved problem on Earth and runs straight at it.
That is not what terrifies them. What terrifies them is he does it without their funding, without their approval, without a single thing they can hold over his head.
A man you cannot buy is a man you cannot control. And a man you cannot control who keeps solving the problems you profit from is the most dangerous human alive.
They will spend their careers trying to tear him down.
Their grandchildren will live in the world he built anyway.

23 years ago, we set out to prove that electric cars could be great – not just great electric cars, but the best cars overall.
We’ve gone from one electric sports car to
– Over 9 million vehicles on the road
– Model Y becoming the world’s best-selling car of any kind only 3 years after first deliveries
– 5 Gigafactories & other manufacturing sites across 3 continents
– The largest & most reliable fast charging network w/ over 80,000 Superchargers globally
– Energy generation & storage systems helping power homes & grids (over 1 million Powerwalls installed, 70+ GWh of industrial energy storage operating globally across 2,200+ projects)
Today, we’re bringing AI into the real world with autonomy @Tesla_AI and robotics @Tesla_Optimus.
Tesla is only getting started – a world of amazing abundance awaits
Claude Fable 5 will be available again globally tomorrow.
After a series of productive conversations with the US government, we're redeploying the model with a new set of classifiers to target and block more cybersecurity tasks. In the near term, some routine tasks like coding and debugging will fall back to Opus 4.8. We’ll continue to refine these classifiers over the coming weeks to reduce false positives and better distinguish genuine misuse from legitimate requests.
We’ve also begun drafting a consensus framework—with Amazon, Microsoft, Google, and other Glasswing partners—for assessing the severity of AI jailbreaks and how AI developers should respond to them. We invite other industry partners and model providers to join us in this effort.
Finally, we’re scaling up our collaboration with the US government on model testing and safeguards. This will include pre-release access to models and safeguards for evaluation, information sharing on jailbreaks and misuse, and dedicated resources for joint research.
Thank you to our users for your patience, and to our partners across the government, industry, and the research community who worked alongside us to make Fable 5 available again.

xAI’s execution speed right now is insane
The Sun has only 22 galactic orbits left.
Earth races around the Sun at ~67,000 mph (107,000 km/h), giving us our familiar 365.25-day year and changing seasons.
But the Sun is in motion too—hurtling through the Milky Way at ~514,000 mph (828,000 km/h) on a grand orbit around the galactic center. One complete lap, known as a cosmic year, takes roughly 225–230 million years.
When the Sun finished its most recent galactic orbit, the earliest dinosaurs were just beginning to roam Earth.
Since its birth ~4.6 billion years ago, our star has completed about 20 such orbits.
Stellar models predict the Sun will keep fusing hydrogen in its core for another ~5 billion years before it swells into a red giant and eventually fades into a white dwarf. At its current orbital speed, that leaves roughly 22 more laps around the Milky Way.
Each cosmic year sweeps the entire Solar System tens of thousands of light-years across the galaxy—through dense spiral arms rich with star-forming regions, past ancient globular clusters, and amid countless other stars.
Continents drift, mountains rise and erode, entire species evolve and vanish—all within a tiny fraction of one galactic circuit.
Human civilization, from the first cities to today’s digital age, has existed for less than 0.001% of a single cosmic year.
We are passengers on a star halfway through its ~10-billion-year galactic journey across a 100,000-light-year-wide disk—witnessing just the briefest sliver of one ongoing lap in an unimaginably vast cosmic dance.
