New results from @EffortLab! We show how failure to attenuate task irrelevant sensory input contributes to post stroke fatigue. This applies to visual https://t.co/J4LdP1h4jy auditory https://t.co/f0o7PsEqBf and also proprioceptive input https://t.co/PwP3IliAyq
Time is running out to complete our online study looking at visual perception in chronic pathological #fatigue across a range of neurological disorders. Please share with as many #stroke, #Parkinsons & #MS patients as possible. The study can be found: https://t.co/XVrhRdzsE4
This is the last week to complete our online study looking into #fatigue and visual perception across different neurological disorders! The study takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. Find the link for the study below
We have recently launched an online study to explore the relationship between visual perception and chronic pathological #fatigue in neurological disorders, from #stroke, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and TBI. Click on the link to take part:

At the beginning of this project I thought I knew what fatigue was - I was wrong. While these works were created with stroke survivours, others with neurological fatigue have felt the work resonate with them. Please share and help us challenge the stigma of 'just being tired'
Do you suffer from persistent #fatigue and would like to participate in an online research study? The study is open to all neurological disorders of which fatigue is prominent: #Stroke, #MS, #PD, #TBI etc

If you would like to contribute to research on chronic pathological #fatigue from your own home, have a look at our online study @TheStrokeAssoc@diffstrokes

It is now a month since the launch of Ensnared: The Inescapable Reality of Fatigue on World Stroke Day. A collaboration between stroke survivors, neuroscientists and an artist. In case you missed it, you can find it here: https://t.co/3tIc3zWz5L
@sarahftyson@AnnaKuppuswamy@Sasha_Synch@DonckerWilliam@dr_nickward@wellcometrust Not exactly. I would say that there are some long term (recordable) changes within the brain affecting processing of sensory information, reflected by altered perception which results in the report of fatigue. So it is not just perception, but something driving perception.
Finally, our study about a possible brain mechanism of post-stroke fatigue is out!! This was such a long drawn study, the first dataset was collected back in 2013!! But well worth the wait 😀 well done @Sasha_Synch@DonckerWilliam@dr_nickward@EffortLab@wellcometrust
Last week at #uclWSDforum we launch Ensnared: The Inescapable Reality of Fatigue. A collaborative arts and neuroscience project with the aim of making #fatigue visible. If you missed it, you can find all the work here: https://t.co/3tIc3zWz5L
